1. Find a rich Russian with more brass than sense.
2. Empty his bank account.
3. We too can go to the ball. Thumb up

They haven't spent as much as people would think.

Yes they signed Wilson for £3million but that was offset by selling Grabban to Norwich for roughly the same money and let's not forget the the £5.75million windfall from Liverpool buying Adam the Lama from Southampton.

Last nights Bournemouth squad was bought for a total of around £5.5million from I can work out and when you consider £3m of that was Wilson then Eddie Howe and Bournemouth have done a terrific job on a budget

I don't think how much they have spent is the issue. It's how much they are over what the FPP said they can spend. I don't understand how, with their income, that they can attract players like Callum Wilson, who chose to go there rather than team up with his old boss at Huddersfield. If it's purely down to wages then we need to scrap our wages policy.
Am I missing something here?

No Snoots you're not. They are spending a shed load of money on wages. Never fails to amaze me how many folk think that transfer fees are the only money a club spends on players. Bournemouth's wage bill is up there with most of the top 6-8 clubs, including those on parachute payments. The Lalana windfall just scraped them over the line as far as FFP was concerned. You still need a decent manager to turn a well paid squad into a team but many of them are there for financial reasons first anf foremost above thinking Howe's just a wonderful coach.

They lost over £15million when they were promoted from League 1 and since then they've obviously managed to get under the £8million threshold that the FFP set, so surely they are no worse than ourselves?

They may average smaller crowds than us but I can assure you that they make up for that by charging more for tickets, exec boxes and sponsorships

They scraped under it purely due to the Lallana windfall. If Liverpool hadn't signed him for as much as they did they'd have been done like Leeds, Forest, QPR (when they come back down) etc and they know it.

They haven't had the 2014 accounts put on line yet. They've likely spent far more in 3-4 seasons than Deano has spent since he took over. Turnover in 2012 was £4 million and £5 million in 2013. They lost over £5 million in 2012 too which is roughly when the Russian chap stepped in with a wad of cash to burn. They were bumbling along making small losses up to then (a bit like we were under Davy).

Town's turnover in 2011 & 12 (last in League 1 for comparison) were £8 million and £7.5 million, with losses each year of £4 million and £6 million. for 13 & 14 our turnover was around £11 million both seasons with losses of £4 million and £6.7 million so any thoughts that they are a small club working on a level playing field with us and only spending what they earn are blown right out of the water there.

Good coach ?(yes)
Working to a small budget - my arris.

For their fans I hope Ruski is willing to continue to burn his stash rather than do what the Oystons did at Blackpool when they went up, calling all their 'loans' back in and spending nothing on the team. Time will tell.
