Apologies for doing this in rather incoherent bits but being retired doesn't mean you've 3 full days in each week when you're doing b***** all nothing much. If needs be I'll copy and paste the whole lot together, but that might be after you've done the correct answers.

1) Who beat Taylor Swift to the Song of the Year award? I couldn't tell you what song Taylor Swift sang let alone who won or their song either.

2) Sabrina Carpenter spent 20 weeks at the top of the UK charts, but which song lasted the longest there? Is that which of her songs or which song ever? If it's her song see answer to question 1 and use her name.

3) Producer Quincy Jones passed away, which Michael Jackson album did he produce that won a Grammy for album of the year? Thriller

4) Which group eventually opened Manchester's new Co-op arena? It took more than a bit of Elbow grease to sort the problems out at that place.

5) Which singer saw a return to the spotlight after their song featured in the film Saltburn? Sorry - don't do luvvies or Kitchen Disco's.

6) Who performed in Glastonbury's Sunday Legends slot? A good Canadian girl - Shaan-eye-ya

7) According to the Sunday Times Rich List, who became the first billionaire British musician? Macca

8) James Blunt re-released which album to mark its 20th anniversary? His first one?

9) Which singer allegedly said "this is going to ruin the tour" after being arrested in June? One of the Gallagher brothers? One of them should have been arrested for that Man City kit.

10) Which band released the albums Papercuts and From Zero in 2024? No idea

Thanks for the PM jjamez - I kind of answered some of the Town questions too, but they were probably lost in the long hand way I did it. I'd be Googling all night to get the rest, so I'll wait for your answers.

Brilliant bit of quizzing there, jjamez. Much harder than any pub quiz I ever attended. Difficulty rating somewhere between University Challenge and Only Connect, I'd say. Smartass

I suspect I scored zero in the Movies section. Never watch them. Who's timothee chalamet? That could well be an anagram itself for all I know. Blush

As for the Town questions, should've done better. I'll query the connection questions though. Didn't Rowe qualify for this? Doesn't Hudlin count? Still a Town player. Whistle
