Like jjamez said, with Spotify and such, the album as we used to know it is a thing of the past.

The LP which I wore out the most was probably Led Zep IV. Not got any vinyls now. Or CDs or tapes. No, I do have a few tapes left actually. Nowt to play them on though. Whistle

My Top 5 Albums of All Time (until next week, that is) would be
The Shadows by The Shadows - featuring Shadoogie, Nivram and Sleepwalk
Da Capo by Love - featuring The Castle, Seven And Seven Is and She Comes In Colors
Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon and Garfunkel - featuring Baby Driver, The Only Living Boy In New York and The Boxer
Piledriver by Status Quo - featuring Paper Plane, Don't Waste My Time and Roadhouse Blues
Teaser And The Firecat by Cat Stevens - featuring How Can I Tell You, Peace Train and Tuesday's Dead

The next lot will be well into the 70s and 80s, many of which you will have heard before.

Like sco I grew up with my dad's records, so queen was a buggy for me growing up, I was off school for a long period and would watch the video tape of greatest hits 2 quite often, which was just the music videos for each song. Don't think there's one song on that album that I don't like, under pressure, radio gaga and a kind of magic were my faves. It took me quite a few years to convince him that one vision mentions fried chicken.

I too, also listened to Simon and Garfunkel, with the boxer as my favourite by them along with sound of silence. Also had the like ls of abba, Duran Duran and Fleetwood Mac as ones I enjoyed. Tbh I liked listening to billy Joel and 10cc too. My dad has loads of CDs still and I would have to listen to whatever he had on at the time so sometimes there was some that I didn't like as much, but ironically I probably do listen to them slightly more often now, but maybe only one or two songs rather than a full album.

Finally

Sheet Music by 10cc - Clockwork Creep, The Sacro-iliac, Oh Effendi.
These Foolish Things by Bryan Ferry - Baby I Don't Care, A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall, Sympathy For The Devil.
The Pious Bird Of Good Omen by Fleetwood Mac - Jigsaw Puzzle Blues, Need Your Love So Bad, Black Magic Woman.
Foxtrot by Genesis - Supper's Ready, Get 'Em Out By Friday, Watcher Of The Skies.
Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival - Lodi, Bad Moon Rising, Green River.

Still nowhere near the 80s, even late 70s. I need a Top 20.

If you put The Gas Club and The Gasworks Car park together there might be enough land to build a 10K stadium and the stuff you need around it, including some limited parking. Either individually, I don't see you building much more than a crown green bowls or a tennis club. Together you've still got the issue of Gasworks Street which is a main route to The McGalphsmiths and businesses on St. Andrews Road running through the middle, not to mention the canal bridge but that's less of a problem. It's not impossible to put something else at one end or the other of any development as an alternative, though you've businesses to negotiate with to do that.

I know the council got what was our Leeds Road ground to build the retail park as part of the deal to build The McGalphsmiths on former ICI land but I don't know what they got out of Fartown. There's still a cricket ground and rugby pitch there, and green land beyond off York Avenue (use unknown). Even if the old stands and terracing have (mostly) been removed and there's a mosque in one corner that I think used to be the cricket pavllion. Pretty sure on the one occasion I played at Fartown for Halifax U18's we changed under the old main stand. It never was the easiest ground to find parking for but it looks like the easiest bit of land for them to go back to if you ask me, and I don't think their fans would argue too hard. Their newish neighbours might though, as there's new houses and shops by the entrance, plus whoever plays there now.

Or maybe it's just the purveyors of dairy produce in general.

Ooo'd a thunk eh? Where there's a market there's a crook, it would seem.

The Blue Mancs have been knocked out of the Blue Mancs Trophy, sorry, EFL Cup in the last 16. What a disaster for Mancland. Is this the end for Pep? Two Mancland sackings in a week? I think we should be told. Maybe, today was never gonna be the day. In other news the Red Mancs won, just to show their on-going superiority over the Blue Mancs. Sir Alex was asked for a comment but was too busy eating a prawn sandwich left over from half-time. He was heard to cough, or at least some of what he said sounded like a cough.
