Unless I'm very much mistaken, and I'm often very much mistaken these days, everyone has paid up already, which is brilliant.

Thanks to the add-on pledges we've hit £180 which is doubly brilliant. Well done and thank you one and all once again.



Unless there's some other reason to post (like I missed something above - do advise if I have) I'll leave you all to get a suntan (or rust coloured) over the summer and start pestering you all again after the fixtures have come out for next season. Hopefully we'll have our ownership, manager/head coach and most of the squad issues sorted by then.

By the way, no response from The Foundation other than I'm now on their emailing list.

Quite - unsubscribing from Nextdoor was one of the best I left behind recently. Lost and found cats, folk with camera door bells claiming everyone that walked passed their front door was dodgy, "rule books" that thought everything you did was illegal, I could go on. My Inbox is suddenly peaceful and organised again.

Afternoon all, hope you're all enjoying the lovely English Summer weather.

12 months ago we were getting baked, fried and occasionally charred round the edges like they are down on the Med this month. This year that darned jet stream is hanging over northern France & The Channel, instead of somewhere north of the Hebrides like last year. Still, at least I don't have to water the plants every morning (and evening).

On another more obvious theme, we are a couple of weeks (and a few days) away from the start of the 23/24season, so who's back in? Anyone new want to join in? All welcome of course.

As per usual I'm happy to carry on creating and running the new thread for the season, but just as happy to hand the baton on if someone else wants to give it a whirl.

Per my comments towards the end of last season, the Town Foundation have now officially abandoned 'Just Giving' for the cheaper monthly fee pastures of 'Enthuse', so we'll need to set that link up as and when.

The weather forecast for this weekend looks like we'll all be able to top up our tans to match our favourite shade of rust and my cousin is organising a family BBQ up on the moors above Halifax. Can't beat a soggy hot dog can you?
