As predicted, the BBC Scotland channel will televise the two "lesser" ties - Inverness Caledonian Thistle v Kilmarnock on Friday 10th March and Falkirk v Ayr United on Monday 13th, both at 7.45pm. They will also be on the BBC Sport website.

Viaplay will get the other two less attractive games (to us neutrals) - Heart of Midlothian v Celtic on Saturday 11th at 12.15pm and Rangers v Raith Rovers on Sunday 12th at 1pm.

Quarter Final Results
Inverness Caledonian Thistle 2 v 1 Kilmarnock
Heart of Midlothian 0 v 3 Celtic
Rangers 3 v 0 Raith Rovers
Falkirk 2 v 1 Ayr United

Semi Final Draw - Ties to be played at Hampden on weekend of Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 April
Rangers v Celtic
Falkirk v Inverness Caledonian Thistle

This will be a great chance for both Falkirk and ICT to make a special occasion for their fans to be involved in the Big Cup Final. It won't happen very often, so there's plenty of incentive for both teams. Having said that, ICT beat Falkirk 2-1 in the 2015 Cup Final. Will ICT take advantage of their re-instatement or will League One Falkirk take their chance?

If they do, it surely will be a first. Can't think of any other reinstated teams making it to a final.

Some Euro footie beneficiaries unfold after the last round of results - curious although very little will change re any kinda positive progress apart from some clubs making a few quid in the process.

Caley/Falkirk is on the Saturday with the other two playing on the Sunday. With just one more league game after the semi, it will be a whole month without a game before the final for Caley or Falkirk, if they don't make the Play Offs.

Sad to say it, but this is really a common theme of one of the "ugly sisters", very likely the Hoops, "hoovering up" another Scottish footie trophy TBF.

It's full steam ahead for the Semi-finals this coming weekend with Falkirk v Inverness CT on Saturday 29 April at 12.15pm. Live coverage is on BBC Scotland although Viaplay have grabbed this one too.

On Sunday 30 April at 1.30pm one of the bigot brothers take on one of the ugly sisters - I'll let you decide which is which. Viaplay have got this one all to themselves.
