There must have been some kinda "falling out" between Gerrard and Tyrone Mings who I reckon was a more favoured Villa captain compared with John McGinn.

Agreed 0762 but the view amongst the fans is that he wanted to remove the pressure off Mings so he only had to concentrate on his game...........he has been prone from lapses in concentration. Whether he wants away from the club, I don't know??

Gerrard is a horrible wee scrote. He's out his depth without beale and thats becoming apparent.

Lampard is exactly the same. Overrated, clueless, hugely egotistical.

I can recall last year Lampard being personally "slaughtered" by the journo, Tom English, as a "nothing manager" with a huge ego attached to him and massively overrated!! He was absolutely right and yet Lampard still picked up the Everton gig months later after Benitez was sacked.

Stevie G finally ousted from his Villa job after months of debate re his future at Villa Park. The rumours never went away from August onwards TBH! Last night's 3-0 defeat to Fulham, added to their precarious position in the EPL relegation zone, was clearly the "last straw" for the club's hierarchy to endure. IMO they should be doing better with the amount of money available to them.

If the Villa fans have their way , he should take McGinn with him. Doh

Am truly shocked that away from covid cheating, empty stadiums and beale that he has been shown to be a total duffer.

Not.

Villa fans happy....................Gerrard on his bike, McGinn dropped to the bench, Emi made Captain, players put in their strongest positions and they score 3 times in 12 minutes. They had been calling this for weeks.

Mind you I can remember once before after a managerial dismissal that Villa won their first game after 3 .0 against West Ham. The following game was against Newcastle and they got gubbed 6 .0 ...........guess who Villa face next........... Doh

And Unai Emery is the new man to take charge on 1 Nov pending the requisite work permit. A vg manager, but will he do better than his stint at the Emirates?
