Precisely - a bunch of brain dead old duffers made these decisions and I'd bet half of them aren't royalists either until a royal turns up.

half of them aren't even politicians until its time to argue the toss about a duck pond in the garden or to complain about something that could bite them on the arse like tax evasion and the sort

I was referring more to FA, EFL, PL old duffers, but it works for the others too.

The people must be given the opportunity to mourn.

Hmmm! Pity our entire playing staff, management, backroom staff, basically everybody at the club weren't allowed time off to mourn last weekend.

Surely the employees of Huddersfield Town were more affected last week when one of their own was cruelly taken at the age of 26, than anyone in the country is today apart from the Queen's immediate family.

And now, when we've got to have ten days of mourning, blumming Harry and William and their wives have been outside laughing and smiling with the great unwashed in Windsor.

Act like your granny's just died, you heartless monsters!

Sorry but don't agree. It hits you when you least expect it to, not just because it just happened.

My mum died in November 98, it was between Christmas and New Year before all the adrenaline or whatever else it was calmed down and one of her neighbours said something one night in her local (not mine plus I'd been back and forth across the pond twice) and the water works started. Just the eyes, not all the sobbing and blubbing, but I couldn't stop them rolling down my cheeks for about an hour.

Glad to see that the proper way to show respect to the late Queen was shown at the John Smith Stadium this afternoon, courtesy of the Huddersfield Giants, Salford Red Devils and the RFL. A one minute silence, a round of applause and the playing of the National Anthem.

Games cancelled by barmpots - the Queen's funeral is on Monday.

Games cancelled because of the now cancelled rail strikes have no reason not to go ahead.

Expect the usual bollox with clubs moaning about fixture congestion next year caused by clubs and FL administrators with brain cells the size of amoebas cancelling games this year for no good reason.
