Meanwhile, Town's C team, aka Harrogte Town beat Swindon 3-0. Daly, Austerfield and Headley all played, with Daly scoring one of the three goals.

And Kian Harratt got sent off for Bradford.

Quite rightly from what I saw on the tellybox this morning.

In other news, our least fave former manager, yes, he is "The One and Only", Steve Bruce has been moaning to the press about how he still gets blamed for ballsing up Town's chance of promotion when he was here. Whilst he has some right to say Marcus Stewart was sold to give the owner some brass to survive with, he conveniently forgets to mention:
A) who it was that bought players for inflated fees and paid the "division above wages" to those players that put the owner in that financial position in the first place? The dickhead that is former chairman Rubery must have been so hands off as to never have been at the club until he suddenly saw the bank balance. Apparently Bruce thought the annual budget was the monthly budget.

B) that he spat his dummy so far out of the pram after the sale of Stewart that we went from top to bottom in the space of about 10 games that season, a summer break and the start of the next season. If he hadn't already shown it at Sheff Utd., he confirmed it at Town that without the ability to spend as much money as he wanted, he couldn't manage or motivate anyone to serve a Big Mac and fries let alone a football team.

Good luck West Brom - I've not seen him change much wherever he's been since. Yes it's him. "The One and Only".

Note that for the Brum game return train tickets from Snow Hill and Moor Street to Bordesley are now available for a few quid that will save you at least half of your shoe leather and a bit of sweat for getting back to somewhere close to New Street after the game. Whether or not you can get a train home from there is another matter.

You could cozy up to the "Floozy in the Jacuzzi" in Brum for the night, the waterfall and fountain has been resurrected for the C G's for about £5m quid, plus the damage when someone added a few drops of mild green fairy lipsqid that got her all in a right lather, but it might be a tad damp and she's been known to give the (stone) cold shoulder to those that try to give her a hug-an'kiss for the night.

Thanks to the C G's, hotel accommodation will likely be at a premium for miles around. You might be able to pitch a tent on the halfway-line at St. Andrews and they probably wouldn't notice, might be best to leave it until after the game though. Then again ..... Whistle

The BBC have scrapped the reading of the classified results on 5Live on Saturdays.

That's a shame, but I must admit I haven't listened to Sports Report for years.

So long as they keep the music though.  Whistle

It's another sign of the end of the BBC as we knew it for some. Like you Snoots, I haven't really heard the full read-out for years.

I mostly get the bus or train these days but even when I use my car, the 2nd half kick off time has been pushed so far back on Saturday that by the time you get to the car they are already halfway through the Scottish results.

Conor Coady has signed for Everton on loan for the season from Wolves.
No recall clause - sounds like things went south between him and the current manager/head coach.
His missus will be happy if nobody else is, she's frequently decamped back to Scouseland.
