Another example of how nuts the Prima Donna League has become. This is almost as much as we got in either season up there and ended up spending on transfers and wages. Dennis Law must be looking at the £60K or so that was then a record transfer fee back in the 60's and going wtf? How many sets of floodlights could you buy for this kind of money?

Young Brodie didn't have a good game yesterday although it's fair to say the majority of the NI team didn't either when you are scraping a 2-2 draw with Cyprus in the 93rd minute of the game having been 0-2 down

Aaron Mooy scores one of the Aussie penalties to beat Peru 5-4 and qualify for the World Cup Finals. Martin Boyle, ex-Hibs, saw his first penalty saved but the rest of the penalty takers and the sub keeper saved his blushes.

I had one eye on the Aus v Peru match and one eye on the England U21's last night.

The Aus v Peru game, not much in it really, fairly tight game as expected. Then on 120minutes the Aussies decide to sub the goalkeeper which was a brave move especially as the sub keeper had just 2 caps before last night. He was dancing, jumping and doing everything possible to put the penalty taker off..he looked a proper wally most of the time but came up trumps in sudden death.

The England U21's, well he rested a lot of players and it showed. Smith Rowe looked like the only one bothered in the first half but it wasn't helped by a truly dreadful start conceding within the first minute. It was IMO a poor crowd of a little over 5k but as someone who supports in England I thought the crowd were an embarrassment. To start off with they were boing the Forest players in the team (Garner & Spence) and then they were singing Town songs. I know it was mainly a young crowd but when you watch England you leave club loyalties at the door. I mean if i can go through all Patrick Bamford's full international career without booing him then sure anybody can, although to be fair i was rolling round laughing at him for most of those 45minutes

The embarrassing booing will probably mean it's another 25 years til we get another u21s game.

Having said all that. Boot on the other foot. If the match is at the City Ground and we had won at Wembley with the bent ref on our side. How would the Forest fans have reacted to Levi?

These are the same pricks, bear in mind, who booed Duane Holmes throughout the game at theirs in December, just because he played for Derby.

England 0-2 Hungary.
Gotta laugh.
Kalvin Phillips is a liability.

And Kane just dived.

0-3

0-4

The team with the homophobic fans (are they still?) are having a good night.

Not playing Conor Coady at Molineux!

Persisting with the hopelessly out of depth Phillips!

Not even having Lee Nicholls anywhere near the squad!

Just back from Wolverhampton.

Well that was embarrassing, when the third hit the back of the net we left to go back to the Bluebrick Tavern only to find it had closed for the night. So we trappsed up to the Great Western for Post Match refreshments.

We have just been tonked by the supposed worst team in the group and it's apparently of worst home soil defeat since 1928.

Watching England is just like watching Town, nicey nicey passing the ball around the back 3/4/5 and having little impetuous to go forward with the ball.

I didn't boo but PLENTY did, do I think Southgate's job is on the line...yes and no
Yes, that's 4 games now without a win and in most of those 4 games we never really looked like scoring.
No, I'm pretty sure he will be given the World Cup at the very least but we need a vast improvement in performances both in September and at least a World Cup Quarter final for him to keep that job

Wakey, were the locals pissed off because Coady was left on the bench.
I noticed he was on the front of the match programme and I imagine he was one of the main points for selling tickets, like we had pushed Smith-Rowe for the u21 game.
The loudest boos sounded to come when he brought Maguire on with 5 minutes left, accompanied by You Don't Know What You're Doing.

Never spoke to any locals, Hungarians, Man Utd, Spurs and Colchester fans but no locals, I didn't even know Coady was on the front of the programme, i just bought it and never even glanced at it since. Big Grin

I think the booing started before half time and got louder as the game went on.

What i will say is the atmosphere in the home end (Sir Jack Hayward Stand) was excellent before and at the start of the game, it was almost like an away game but fizzled out as England did during the first half.

Southgate has plenty of doubters amongst the England Supporters travel club
