Trump Watch activated!

Is this cop normal/"right in the head" anyway?

Totally correct in your condemnation, 0762. And seven shots in the back to subdue a man who showed no aggression??? Why wasn't he tripped up/rugby tackled/tazered to stop him in his tracks? Because drawing your gun seems to be the first option for many American police, with firing it being the second option.

Exactly. Who in their right mind thinks putting seven shots in someone is a better idea than spinning them to the ground? And also not even managing to kill the poor sod with 7 shots either !!

Thats your highly trained agents of the state for you. Cowardly bastard.

I'm curious to see what happens to all these Police cowards who were involved in these recent horrific incidents v Blake and Floyd and with damning video evidence that condemns them "out of hand". My gut tells me that they are gonna be admonished! I hope I'm wrong because this outcome will cause a huge storm, possibly a violent one beyond any that we have observed so far. I also notice that this moronic President Trump is cynically using "strong law and order" as his rallying call i.e. Dems bad for law and order, I am good for the country ensuring proper control!!??? The man is "stoking the fires" and I notice he never really seriously condemned the Blake shooting - does that mean he condones the retention of RW psychopathic cops????

He's as racist as they come - anyone else noticed the lack of black faces on his political 'praise him to the roof' podium so far? - and is a fully paid up member of the gun lobby. No doubt he'll defend both the cop and the white kid who did his vigilante stuff as just 'normal 'mercans' going about their normal business. He's chosen not to even acknowledge these things even happened so far.

Prize PR!CK of the year/.

"White supremacists and militias have infiltrated police across US, report says"

The above is a major factor in all of this and being totally ignored.

Kenosha is an absolute disaster right now. More than a 1000 people protesting last night, white militia groups killing protestors, massive property damage....... and all of 10 weeks to election time.

This is americas chance to pull back from the madness.

I watched a short clip of bbc Newsnight last night when the beeb slipped in a slot for a quick interview of a female organiser of the Trump/Republican Convention campaign from N Carolina. What astounded me was the fact that the female bbc presenter appeared to be muzzled from challenging some of the pro-Trump bullshit that this shameless woman was saying with a straight face and a snide smile. One example of this woman's audacious manner was her "opinion" that Trump initiated a wonderful response (???) to the coronavirus pandemic when it first hit the USA - straight-faced as you like while uttering every bit of poison against Biden and the Dems - what was that inert bbc stance all about???????? It was effectively a political broadcast where the bbc Newsnight presenter literally sat stony-faced and allowed this well paid Trump "nut job"/decepticon to utter her bullshit almost unchallenged. I switched tv channels after about 2 mins - couldn't stand this disgraceful charade but it is prob a flavour of what the Dems will be up against in the remaining months up to the election. God help us all if the US electorate actually repeats the US election events of 2016 and is duped by the same brand of brainwashing bullshit - beyond imagination and totally outrageous in a civilised society!!

This is a good read re a US President who is indeed "killing politics" and "stoking up fires of hate" with the most ridiculous non-presidential comments that have attracted some extreme anarchists as well as the likes of the mayor of Portland with a scathing criticism of Trump's behaviour - a so called leader of the country but not a unifier of people - a total loon ball who is definitely not normal as previously intimated so many times before on this board.

I don't see or hear any huge enthusiasm around Biden or the democrats other than he's not Trump and stopping trump. That didn't wash last time out did it ?
Trumps doubling down on Biden being a risk to law and order is ridiculous but no doubt will work where it needs to. He needs to keep the focus away from his shambolic handling of Covid.

I sort of shift between confidence that America will wake up and this lunatic will lose and hopelessness and a feeling he will get back in again.

The polls over here look favorable for a Biden win and there is a large movement to simply prevent Trump from winning. But we have been there before, Hillary was ahead in the polls, the only difference was her lead was within the margin of error, Biden's lead is currently outside the margin of error overall and in some places he is leading by more than Hillary ever did. But you still have to temper this as his base of support is not moving no matter what he does, so its the independents and moderate Republicans who need to stay away from voting or switch to Biden that will help Biden to win. The biggest factor probably though is the Dems have to get out and vote, particularly the young, those aged 18-24 are overwhelmingly behind Biden but traditionally don't bother voting, that has to change. Ironically Covid might help this as more of this age group are doing their college courses virtually, so they are at home rather than away at college and can therefore vote in person rather than by mail.

If you had to stick 50 quid on either way SCO - would you bet on Trump or Biden winning ?
