Trump Watch activated!
Have to say that I’ve enjoyed watching Dr Fiona Hill’s testimony today. She has the Republicans running scared, so scared that the past 4 Republican members have not asked her any questions.

She’s British and a nationalised American. If only we had someone like her in our Government.

IMO the problem re this impeachment process is that it will not force a fascist president like Trump to resign, unlike Richard Nixon who regarded such a resignation as the "honourable thing to do" following the Watergate scandal. However, one can only hope that the evidence against him keeps building up and finally damages him to the point of being unelectable. It is "wishful thinking" but one can only hope that this guy is eventually removed and the USA can finally move on to a more palatable form of governance that suits the future in the 21st century with lotsa challenges ahead, something Trump has not done at all!!

Trump leaves early from the NATO Summit in London after slagging off Canada's PM, Justin Trudeau, for being "two-faced" ha ha ha ha Laugh Trudeau, and others, filmed taking the piss (behind his back) out of his idiosyncratic behaviour in terms of being a diplomat. So there are human beings out there after all ha ha ha!! I must also add there was stunning live footage on Sky News this morning with Trump sitting adjacent to Angela Merkel and commenting to the press re NATO issues and negotiations with China. Merkel sat there, occasionally glancing passively at Trump and it was a classic scene - if only one could've read her mind/thoughts - seriously!!!? She didn't need to say a thing lol!!

That aside he's clearly mentally ill.

I totally agree re that last line and good to hear someone viewing it the same way!! He is not the "full shilling" IMO. Also I reckon that NATO humiliation in Paris is far more damaging than initially realised!! An American President humiliated in such a way??? Unprecedented and a lotta Americans will see it the same way - hugely damaging to his reputation!! And then he stupidly comes out with his opinion that he is the greatest US President ever - comments pls from any observing Americans!! What makes him so great?? Any great achievements?? Division/polarisation of a country's populace?

Its a line he uses here quite a lot and its also a line you constantly hear from his supporters as well!!! He has so far failed to achieve any of the things he promised to do except for the tax cuts for himself and his cronies and aside from a ton of Executive Orders he really hasn’t actually enacted many new laws.

The thing is he is possibly the Best Republican President ever, not on the basis of what he has achieved as such but on the basis of completely engaging the base support that the Republicans have always struggled to get out an vote, they will walk miles to vote for the Don!! He has done a great job in demonizing every single Democrat to the point that his supporters will never say anything good about any Democrat. He has done a good job of creating a hatred towards most of the media so that his core support will never accept or believe anything they say even if it is true. All of these things have made the Republican Party relevant again with the right leaning people in this country and he has essentially united the party against common enemies in the Dems, immigrants and the mainstream media. Of course on the other hand he may just have also woken up the young adult vote over here, a group that will overwhelmingly support the Dems but traditionally do not vote, lets see if he can keep doing things that give them the reason to finally vote!!

And lets not forget he now has his own mini-me over your neck of the woods in Boris, a man who will likely win an election on the back of demonizing others and a series of half truths that his supporters lap up whenever he says them!!

Aye SCO! Re that end line I call it the preferred cynical practise of any budding demagogue - it is so recognisable and clear that it still amazes me that so many loon balls in the populace absolutely "fall for it" - bizarre!!

The thing is I don’t see BJ as a demagogue type character, he isn’t as narcissistic like Trump is either. What both are about though is making sure that whatever happens they are able to make more moeny out of it, so for BJ that means keeping the Tories in power and gaining Brexit, for Trump that comes with being president for 4 more years!! One is a political move, the other is a purely personal one. But boy do people fall for it time and again!!!

Re Trump, one thing I must emphasise is that there seems to be a possible "wind of change" following that NATO Summit and the "mocking incident" that Trump endured. The implicit message that came out of that embarrassing episode for Trump was that he was classified as an "out of touch" old man with extreme views and a voice to match it and boyyyyy, he was pissed off and knew the possible repercussions re such an event that effectively ridiculed him as a nobody!! It is the fact that he couldn't even "tough it out" as per his butch image and stupidly highlighted the fact and then f##### off home "in the huff lol Laugh Has this ever happened to any previous US President? There have been some real previous "tossers" but I don't think this has ever happened in such a detrimental way.
