I don’t know too much about the guy. Based on the above he is a number 10 who can play as an 8, so could suit a centre midfield role in a 433, and as a left winger.

After recent years of settling for steady British players, it’s nice to see a link like this. Something a bit different.

Josh, you're letting us down here. Your knowledge of every European player is needed now more than ever.
Buck up, will you!

That’s not very spiffing of me Sir. My apologies Sir. Won’t happen again Sir. I’m going to go punish mysel in a dark room so it never happens again Sir.

Anyhoo, pre-season starts tomorrow so I’d expect a couple of days of Bilic getting to know the players, learning their attributes, how their technical ability is, how are they mentally (wanting to leave or stay) etc before we have a couple of new players walk through the door.

Olly burke is on his way back too. Do you reckon bilic will get a tune out of him ?

Seen him a few times up here and he is very quick and strong but his touch is awful and he certainly isn't a natural finisher.

Newcastle United remain interested in West Brom's 29-year-old Venezuela striker Salomon Rondon - who spent last season on loan at the Premier League club - despite manager Rafael Benitez's exit. (Star)

Just a thought........

The future of Croatia midfielder Mateo Kovacic, 25, at Chelsea is uncertain, with his loan deal from Real Madrid running out on 1 July. The Stamford Bridge outfit are yet to offer him an extension. (Goal)

Jim, I think your assessment of Burke is pretty spot on - a lot of raw talent but needs a lot of improvement on some of the basics. However, with potential departures from the Hawthorns, I think we’ll have to harness that raw talent as I reckon he’ll be playing a lot more next season. Hoping Bilic can turn a frog into a prince Thumb up

Add to that - I don’t think of him as a striker. Just a nippy winger who needs to get his head up and cross a decent ball.

I wonder what happened up there to create the flurry of articles?

West Ham offer £10 million and 2 players for Rondon. And we turned it down ? Sounds about right
