West Brom forward Louie Barry is set to join Barcelona, according to Sky Sports.

The 15-year-old has been in prolific form for England U16s, scoring 10 goals in 5 games.

He turns 16 later this month which could see him secure a move to the Spanish giants.

So much for the academy
Going abroad now means we get around 260 k ??

Good luck to lad, but how that's going to help him long term I find it difficult to believe.
We will always be at risk of losing any of our bright stars, but we do fill our first team with players that came through other
clubs academies? That's football, we have chances to play our youngsters and fail to stand by them and then let them go.
Making and losing Darren has been a major issue. Did Jenkins not understand making a club cult hero, who is worshiped
by the youngsters the manager and then dismissing him would destroy club loyalty. Probably never crossed his mind ?
Looking back Darren should never have been made manager?
We now have Dowling saying "Trust me" - i'm sorry but he has ruined his own reputation with a sack the backroom
staff gaff. No manager for months, nobody making decisions, we do appear to be in a race to the bottom  Doh
Apologies if it's negative, but we have little to cheer about atm.

Why do we run an academy at great expense just to watch the talent we find and nurture leave for next to no money before we get to benefit from them in our first team ......

Really falling out of love with football ..... only Albion and England have any interest to me and even then I can't be bothered to watch anymore.

Getting to a point now that I may even stop posting, stop viewing and may close my account on here ...... despondent is not overstating how I feel.

The greed league, the also ran league, the academy raiding, the top six clubs player stockpiling, the biased media, the biased FA / UEFA / FIFA and the closed shop 're trophy winning ....... what is the point of continuing?

I do not watch pay to view football, I do not even watch free to view football, I don't even go to the pub to watch football .......... I need something g special to ignite my interest.

Love the Albion, will always love the Albion ....... Albion til I die but my interest in football is at a critical level and may soon be deceased.

Another one gone?, with Daws and Hegazi looking at moves, it may have been wise to keep him and give him a chance. Must have been a better option then taking Tosin on loan at £54K a week? Ah well who knows what he future holds. Good luck to the Kyle.  I suppose he's not getting any younger.

23 years old and only played 3 times for Port Vale in his half season loan spell. Was captain of our under-23 team before that and his contract ends at the end of the month.

Him leaving the club is better for him because he isn’t going to get much game time for us in our first team (Fitzwater was ahead of him last summer as well) and it’s probably not fair on him going back to the under-23 team.

It looks like Slaven Bilic will be appointed today - Will he persuade players not to leave, who will he bring in first?

Let's hope Bilic is his own man and brings some authority to the club and on the pitch. We are desperate for a couple of leaders on the pitch to replace the shoulder shruggers. It really is promotion or doom and gloom time this season.

Reece Oxford’s move to Augsburg is on the brink of collapse with the West Ham defender now the focus of interest from West Brom and Middlesbrough. @SamWallaceTel reports - https://t.co/SjlNqmH4g3
