Gloucestershire Live claim that 17 yo Cirencester Town forward Owen Windsor is close to agreeing a deal with WBA.

He scored 6 goals in 7 Southern League Division One South starts.

He has been monitored closely by Chelsea scouts, but is apparently set for a move to Albion.

Well it's a start, we should be thankful for any new recruits.
I assume "Owen" will be doing cartwheels to get a chance and Jenkins will be delighted at a free.

Surely if you sell Rondon and Rodriguez for circa £28m, you would be happy to spend £10-£12m on Gayle as he's the one striker absolutely guaranteed to get goals at this level. IMO it would make sense to sell Rondon and Rodriguez for circa £28m and then invest £10-£12m in Gayle and £2-3m on a younger player, probably from abroad as back up. If anything, we would probably see a better balance up top than what we had this season.

Unfortunately the clowns running the club don't see the value in Gayle despite the fact he's head and shoulders above the rest of the strikers in this division.

Josip Drmić is leaving Borussia Mönchengladbach on a free so he’d be a good cheap signing. He and Gayle as our 2 strikers would be good in my opinion. They’re similar to each other in style and good in front of goal, Gayle obviously being more superior.

Drmić hasn’t had a good couple of years with injuries and being behind Raffael, Stindl and Plea in the pecking order so a fresh start in a new country could be good for him.

Sorry to post it here but please see the crowd funding notice - quite a few of you have suggested a small donation per member to address the hosting costs and so I am hoping this could be the answer to stability and possibly later enhancements.

Hi sound idea, could you check the link - for me it shows error when I try and open the link.
Just an idea - Others forums do a similar link via Paypal so no bank details need to be accessed.

Love this from the WBA site, other places (E&S) reporting it slightly differently, ' reportedly' being monitored by Chelsea and I see the official story misses out, he has previously been on the books of Swindon Town and Southampton neither took up the option of signing him.  That said, he may be a jewel in the rough and do a Cyrille.   Assuming that he does actually sign, that will be Gayle's replacement sorted.  Whistle  Whistle  Whistle

The worst news from our club for months "Mark Harrison" our academy manager is leaving.
Even worse he is off to the Seal sanctuary. People do move on, but this is a massive blow IMO
It's obvious even behind the scenes we're not a happy club. Lai maybe the owner but he doesn't
create the atmosphere within the shrine. This is what happens when idiots like Dowling spout off
about getting rid of the back room staff. Leave Jenkins to get on with his abacus and keep him
away from people and Dowling needs to be publicly flogged and sacked for HERESY.

Leaving is one thing - going to the Seals is the ultimate slap in the face.
The club is losing it's soul.

The news just gets better and better !!!
West Brom forward Louie Barry is set to join Barcelona, according to Sky Sports.

The 15-year-old has been in prolific form for England U16s, scoring 10 goals in 5 games.

He turns 16 later this month which could see him secure a move to the Spanish giants.
