I heard he failed the medical too. No disrespect to Yeovil but the chance to join a far bigger club would surely be to much to turn down and I doubt Yeovil are paying him more than we offered.

Good news for negotiating if true?

The article is actually stating that they have timed out, rather than just hinting or saying "according to sources" or similar, so it appears it IS the case...... great news then!
Very good player when he wants to be but not sure if Chadli* will be an asset this season or whether we'd be better off without him, but great if we manage to keep the other 2 IMO.

*maybe sell whilst his stock is high and use the dosh for getting someone in who actually wants to play?

Somerset Live is reporting that Tom James failed to agree personal terms.

If so it makes you wonder what the club were offering him. Either he has an over-inflated feeling of self worth and wants too much money or the club were not offering him what he’s worth.

Knowing West Brom we probably offered to pay him in sausage rolls. Doh

Josh he failed his medical Thumb up

West Brom decided against the signing of defender Tom James after the player failed a medical, BirminghamLive understands.

James' club Yeovil Town announced this morning that they'd be retaining the 22-year-old, claiming that he'd failed to agree personal terms with the Baggies.

It is our understanding, however, that because of issues relating to his fitness, Albion have decided to look elsewhere and James is on his way back to Huish Park.

Conflicting reports so far then. Albion say medical and Yeovil say personal terms. Albion could be saying medical so they don’t look cheap whilst Yeovil could be saying personal terms so their player doesn’t look like a crock and put off other clubs.

I’m sure the full truth will come out later today from John Percy or the Express and Star guy (I forget his name).

Whichever it is the deal is off so time for Big Dave to look elsewhere. I’m sure he has a back-up plan such as the player from Luton.
