I certainly share these sentiments/concerns Jim and reflect back to my late dad's comments after surviving the conflict of WW2, and hoping he'd never witness the rebirth of all the RW shit that eventually escalated and forced him into a major world conflict. Then he observed America's use of the atomic bomb (boyyy, was he disgusted - more innocent people killed by bombing, this time using a big one), then witnessing America's violations in the Vietnam War, the use of agent orange and they are 'still using napalm' the ######s, says he having previously witnessed it, first hand!! The biggest winners in his opinion - the arms dealers and big business 'killing people'! It seems that certain countries are never gonna learn from previous mistakes in history and it is worrying TBH! Time to strengthen the UN and somehow empower it? Easier said than done eh!

Now it transpires that the Police bill to cover Trump's July visit is gonna cost the tax payer £5M!! 5000 cops deployed for the 'trumpet man's' benefit! Unbelievably high expense and definitely 'not worth it' - stuff that and it's a pity we can't pass it on to the US govt eh! It's another reason to protest against this numpty coming here!

It looks like Donald Trunp and Michael Cohen’s one sided bromance is over. Over the weekend Michael Cohen did an interview on ABC News and whilst he never answered questions about Trump reimbursing him for the Stormy Daniels payment and whether he’d cooperate with investigators, he did answer whether he would protect the President. His answer was that his family and country comes first. That is a u-turn compared to what he said in the past about taking a bullet for Trump. It seems that he has finally realised that Trump doesn’t give a shit about him and probably never has. It is good to see him put his family first because they will be effected the most from all of this.
As for whether he’ll cooperate, he is in a world of pain and probably needs to to help himself and his family. I hope Robert Mueller only interviews him if Cohen’s testimony will help his investigation. Cohen is a scumbag who worked for an ever bigger scumbag for a long time, he doesn’t deserve to get off easily for his crimes.
It’s also convenient to see Fox News now undertaking a character assassination on Michael Cohen. They’ve been backing him for months yet now that he is putting his family first and Trump down the pecking order, the assassination begins just like with everyone else that’s gone against Trump. Mueller, Comey, McCabe, etc
Such a despicable “news” channel.

I luv Trump's comment re his great respect for his 'good friend' Boris! Is this a case of one idiot attracting another similar idiot with the same idiotic views of life and people!? And talk about 'not breaking political protocol' as expected of him or any other foreign dignitary!!! Not for President Trump - a total balloon as big as the one that will be hovering over London on Thursday!

Call it despotic governance. Also as Steve Bannon predicted in an interview last year after leaving the White House. It will be absolutely alarming for many millions n millions of decent American citizens who are watching these RW policies gradually unfold with cute manipulation of the political system and appointments of 'place men' with similar RW views. IMO it will be a 'step too far' if he attempts to 'muzzle' Robert Mueller.
I'm currently watching the bbc series, "Reporting Trump's First Year: The Fourth Estate" (watch it and be enlightened!) - through the eyes of New York Times reporters. This series is a real 'eye opener' and highlights many of the extreme happenings that are being debated. I recently watched the NYT reporting and film footage of the KKK violations in Charlottesville and the use of a hi speed car to mow down anti- fascist protesters, a woman killed and many badly injured but KKK members professing allegiance to Trump and his RW philosophy/campaign is absolutely astounding and prob unprecedented in US politics but wowww, Trump not really openly condemning white supremacists, scary stuff - just a small part of the "journey" - history being made but is it really for the good of the country? IMO it is almost surreal but it's happening. The very bastions of American democracy are being threatened by Trump and his cohorts; many Republicans appear to be as "alarmed" and critical of Trump and his policies and extreme behaviour plus the country is well and truly divided. No wonder! I reckon "something has to give"! It's inevitable!
