Enjoying his tweet today about the protests against the quality of universal health care in the UK.....you know the demo of support for the NHS against cuts and austerity... that one, yeah. What a total balloon, and the sad thing is many Americans will believe him.

His ulterior motive of course is his parasitic health care company mates are poised to make a killing out of the NHS after brexit. xxxx.

The President was speaking on the David Letterman show in 2015 and described a friend’s experience in Scotland where he has a major golf course.

He said: “I had an incident in Scotland... a friend of mine in Scotland, he got very, very sick and they took him by ambulance, he was there for four days.

“He was really in trouble. And they released him and he said ‘where do I pay?’ and they said ‘there’s no charge’.

“And not only that it was great doctors and great care.”

Putins sock puppet just can't be consistent on anything can he ? Like most liars.

Scariest thing is he got this "information" after watching Farage on a Fox News morning show, whatever happened to multiple sources before a comment is made!!! You are also correct in that his base supporters will hang on his every word no matter what he says!!

It's the negative impact of said Trump policy on a significant proportion of the US population that must be so galling for many US citizens!

Trump now intimating that gun control reform should be undertaken after the latest Florida massacre and planned protests by 1000s n 1000s of students and associated groups who will gather in Washington. However, most cynics see it as nothing more than posturing, as practised time n time again, but in fact the huge financial donations from the NRA and other pro gun donors are too good and very influential, thanks very much. Also previous attempts at any form of gun control have been totally useless (eg Chicago with strict gun controls - still failed with a high rate of gun crime!) in a US culture that embraces the gun with an embarrassing obsession that dates back a long, long time and too many people needing a gun to protect themselves.

0762, Chicago’s gun control laws actually do work, its a lot harder now to buy a gun there. Problem is the cities and states around Chicago do not have the same strict laws, so if you want to buy a gun you just go over the border to a different city or state and bingo, you have a gun!!! I lived there for 12 years and have number of friends there who are big hunters, this is exactly what they could do if they were new to a gun license. The only way their stricter gun laws will be effective is if other cities and states around them follow suit.

The “I have a gun to protect myself” line that gun advocates use all the time is also a total fabrication. It is rare that someone uses a gun to defend or protect themselves to any effect and if they did it would probably end up them getting into a far serious situation!! You are right about the obsession Americans have with guns, it stems from the Wild West, a time that was actually just over 100 years ago, so its still relatively recent in European terms!! The NRA are the main problem to any changes as you state, Trump can say whatever he wants but he will never get the votes to actually change the law. Lobby money and campaign donations laws probably need to change first to reduce their influence on key senate and house elections.

There is no way you can ban guns in the US, will never happen, but you can put control measures in place that will restrict certain weapons and certain people from having them. Other countries with high gun ownership don’t have the same rate of deaths as the USA, I can’t help thinking that the American attitudes to each other is partly to blame as well as mental health and lax gun laws. Americans seem to accept killing each other far more than other societies in the world and thats something that needs to change.

Switzerland comes to mind as being close to the highest gun ownership on the planet and yet the gun culture is totally different to the American one. Also the easy purchase of any type of military assault rifle must be questioned anyway esp after the most recent massacres involved the use of an AR15 assault rifle - ludicrous and such a weapon should not be made available in the public domain!!

This just confirms what a useless piece of shit Trump actually is! Seen holding a doc titled, 'How to be empathetic' after quickly arriving from a golf course - a piece of slime, a slime ball, and I'd refer any doubter to a book re Trump, not a normal human being, written by Michael Wolff - an eye opener! Also some of the Florida students, who gave their emotional recounts of the massacre (plus a plea for proper gun control), challenged by sources in the White House as actors/actresses! The words CUCKOO, CUCKOO, reverberate in my mind and this is another dose of the 'fake news' brigade/I favour the pro gun lobby response, because these interviews 'hit a chord' and poss posed a threat! Hence the crass response! Thumb down What a shocker and IMO there is no hope for a sick America and American society. I didn't realise that the US manufactures 13 million guns pa, with high exports, until I read the stats - shocking!
