Everton vs WBA - Match Thread

I did say this was a dead rubber. Sadly although i was working on music I was at home not the studio yesterday so I couldn'y even affect the result with my superstitious hoodoo lol! However I'm with HRK on this Everton have a great home record and it seems that any ex wba player comes back to haunt us oh and Mirallas is always on the score sheet againt us it seems. It would be churlish to get the knives back out so soon but I fear the next two games are also going to see us stuck on 40 points for a few more weeks but after that theres games we should be getting points from. I believe were capable of picking up another 10 points from the remaining fixtures and maybe its time we got something of a surprise result from a team above us which hasn't happened all season (apart from the spurs draw) but has over the past few seasons happened with the likes of chelsea man u or liverpool. Its about time we got something of arsenal or Man c actually its been predictably boring loss after loss with those 2 lately. So how about some predictions with the remaining fixtures anybody fancy it?

I, too, agree with HRK. The trouble is we get sucked into the premier league disease, the only win counts, win at all costs, everything is else s##t mentality, we are having a great season, to good, above expectation which in itself feeds the hype and disappointment. If you had told me back in August we would have had 40 points by March I would have called the men in white coats.. we started to feel we were better than we are ..... and hoped for Europe ...... to aim high is fine but just because you miss the stars and get the moon should not call for unrest and strife, your still higher than you started.

Very disappointed by palace and Everton results ..... was beginning to dream of catching Everton ....... an ever present in the premier league era .... Hope we can still finish top of the premier league 2 ....... best of the rest division.

Everton had only lost once at home all season and only Spurs and Chelsea have better records. It's not a surprise that we lost the game, the upset would have been if we'd have taken a point or more from the game!

FFS we need 10 points from the last 10 games to beat our previous highest Premier League finish, the chance of that has not evaporated because of two defeats recently. Getting to 40 points as quickly as we did should also not be forgotten quickly either as it's an achievement that most other clubs below us would be proud of.

The quality of football this season compared to last has also been massively improved so I'm getting a bit pissed off at those who forget all of the good performances and results we've had over the course of the season and focus only on the negatives.

Well said , some good points made

We were due a few losses and to be honest I think Arsenal will do us too but we have had a great season so far. I would imagine most of the moaners don't even go up. Folks need to be realistic.
