Robson in the rain: Goodison Park, September 1981

Following an afternoon best forgotten against Crystal Palace last weekend, we enter a stretch of tough fixtures this Saturday with a visit to Goodison Park. We've managed to stay in touch with seventh-placed Everton over the past couple of months, perhaps more by accident than design, and the result of this game will go a long way towards determining our (pretty unlikely) chances of nicking 7th spot. If the Palace match was a sign of performances to come, it could be that we'll end up having to fight off a slide down the league rather than charging any further up it, but still, last season gave us a smash-and-grab 1-0 win at Goodison under immense pressure, so hope springs eternal.

If nothing else, an improved performance and signs that we're not entirely done for this season would be very welcome.

This game v Everton, then an Arsenal team in apparent crisis and Man Utd without their biggest gun.

Not touched a drop all week but I think we're capable of getting points in all these games, starting with a draw here Thumb up

Lukaku's the obvious danger and without him they're average. Can somebody take him out for a few drinks tonight.
This kid Tom Davies is already some player, and we need to match him for energy.

I reckon 30% possession for us with a scrambled GMac set-piece goal 75mins.
0-1 Baggies win.

Bugger - that IS a grrrrrrr .....we're not the same side without him.
A start for Leko maybe??

RE: Everton vs WBA - Match Thread - HRK - 10-03-2017

It's gutting Matty isn't going to be fit for this one but I still fancy us to give Everton a game - think it will be close one, I'll go with a 1-1.

I'm with Drewks in hoping that Leko starts to see more game time. Looked so lively at the tail end of last season but hasn't had as many minutes on the pitch as I'd liked to have seen since then.

Safe trip to any that are travelling tomorrow. COYB!

Must be a 4-3-3 surely

Livermore slightly more advanced than the other two..........

I hope Rolleyes
