Makes a mockery of the winter break when teams travel abroad to play games!!!! Still I hope Rangers got something positive out of it but with that scoreline I have no idea what that could be!! Aspiring to that level is a bit unrealistic as well for any Scottish team in the current set up.

eh? It was little more than a training session for red bulls first and second string and a bit of ego stroking for sevco. Other Scottish teams aren't trying to aspire to that "level"....whatever it was.

I wasn't aiming that at any other team.

No idea why you mentioned "any other Scottish team" to be honest then, because no other Scottish team is playing ridiculous friendlies in shite weather at this time of the season and trying to make out its part of some mythical learning curve.
As we all know warburton talks through his erse constantly. That's because he is totally winging it.

I too feel he is winging it, but he is saying what the masses want to hear. It's the same with the winter break "friendly" - the Germans are not interested in Rangers as a football team, merely interested in the masses who would follow them and spend their money.
Rangers were soundly beaten because they are simply not good enough. With Dave King having sealed the supposedly bottomless biscuit tin, they will probably not be good enough in the European ties in the summertime. They struggle to beat very ordinary teams in the SPL, so they've not much chance against anybody else. If they do aspire to be the best, I would think they'd be better off keeping quiet about it and not invite unnecessary setbacks along the way.

Of course they will, Fred. It's their God-given right! Hearts will have to learn from last year's faux-pas at Tynecastle and win the Cup.
