The Celtic juggernaut unstoppable now?

Wishfully thinking, not just a jambo thing
Then again in august just after the red imps game, I was chatting with blue nose mates in the pub and honestly they said and I quote
"none not one of the Celtic team would get in to the rangers one", going for 55 etc
The logic that they humped us in the semi final
When I pointed out we where shite, the result was a draw, and we should have won easily hitting the wood work 3 times and Roberts missing a sitter, with us having 30 odd shots to their 8 and 10 on target to their 3
they honestly had convinced them self's that they where a better team by far.
When I mention it 2 weeks ago they now back tracked very quickly, stabilise in the league, qualify for Europe, were never going for the league

football fans are always by definition optimistic we always look on the best

What a goal by Sinclair!!! Absolutely exquisite to give a misfiring Hoops team a 2-1 lead over a fighting Buddies' side that was 0-1 ahead for long enough!! Sparky comes on as a sub - Rodgers injects a bit of pace and bang - 2-1!! A comfortable Saint Mirren side suddenly very uncomfortable with a bit of pace 'thrown at them'!
Goaalll, 3-1 - game over and the Dembele 'phenomenon' strikes again!!

That's the difference this season, they have a manager who knows how to make positive tactical changes and turn games around.

St Mirren were excellent and for an hour played like a top half spl team. Well played them.

Yep! The Buddies played well and their manager has set up a back bone of two decent CBs with a decent goalie positioned behind them!

Think st mirren's manager correctly opted to concentrate on stopping them down the left side and press the game onto their centre backs to play it out. It worked really well 1st half, but when leigh and roberts came on they stretched the game more and the spaces opened up.

Ross could be a decent manager in the making,i think he might keep st mirren up now.

Celtic where poor in the first half, GMS looks like a player who knows he wont be able to do it at this level
Shame as I thought he could make it.
That said well done St Mirren worked hard got a bit of luck when Dembele missed a sitter, but where unlucky when his clearance hit the bar.
Once we equalised the game was over.

Rodgers man of the match

Aye! You are right re the poor form of GMS. He was passed into some great positions in the 1st half but had a nightmare in delivering any kinda positive contribution to the game and rightly 'hauled off' by Rodgers at HT.

FT, Celtic 1 Rangers 1 and the Hoops unbeaten run remains intact in a match that showed an element of slackness from Celtic TBF. I think they've done well to maintain a reasonable level of motivation in a footie league that is already won! Rangers will no doubt make some kinda 'big deal' out of a drawn match but it was more to do with Celtic's dip in form than Rangers sudden great form although they kept a 'good shape' during this match. Very noticeable Celtic hardly in 'top gear' and then suddenly pulverising the Rangers defence in the dying mins after the Gers' equalising goal and Gers players 'hanging on by their finger tips'!

Celtic were a bit sloppy today and sevco deserved a point. That said ex ibrox season ticket holder madden played his part. He let the hun players away with murder and denied as clear a Pk as you will see late on.

Yep! I wondered if anyone else noticed Madden's 'late show' of suspicious decisions incl the free kick that resulted in Rangers' equaliser. Also how did he ignore Holt's illegal scissor tackle before almost scoring??? As easy a decision as you could call but of course the game had reached a late point when Rangers had a wee chance of attaining a positive result and Madden's sudden change in bias was fairly obvious in order to influence a Rangers equaliser if poss!
