An easy question to ask after perusing Sunday's Scottish Cup quarter-final draw, it dawned on me that Celtic's potentially easy home draw v the Buddies is one huge step towards attaining the 'treble' after guessing who the likely remaining semi-finalists will be at Hampden Park - the Dons, Huns and an Embro/Leith side. Nothing to really fear for a formidable, full strength Celtic team that is breaking all records and has already won the SPL title again with Rodgers having the privileged option of rotating and resting certain players, if he chooses to do so, and focusing on lifting the last domestic trophy and winning the 'treble', prob in style with lotsa goals scored against any of these opponents who will want to 'avoid them like the plague'!

The SFA want sevco at hampden at all costs. Preferably playing ra shellick. I reckon only the officials can stop them winning a treble now,but I wouldnae mind a pop at them in another hampden "in the green" final. But appreciate its a big ask.
They really have taken the proverbial sledgehammer to crack a nut by hiring Rodgers. Its purpose could only have been to pull the rug from under sevco after their false dawn victory in the semi final saw them give warburton a new extended contract. A stupid move compounding the idiocy in the sevco boardroom currently.
Rodgers may well get bored and end up going back to the EPL,but he is certainly going to drive that club as far forward as he can while he is there. Look at his comments about 'sparky' - he clearly thinks despite his huge talent that he is letting himself down by not pushing himself to be the best player he can be....and letting his club down in the process.

No team is ever unstoppable
Celtic have moved up a gear this season and look to be trying to build a team that will do as well as possible in Europe
The Champions league cash will help but we are still short in the striker position as we have seen in last couple of weeks

I'm assuming you relate that last criticism from a higher Euro footie perspective edgie? I think Celtic have goal threats coming from all areas of the pitch. Dembele looks like a top class striker and Sinclair is certainly well tuned to scoring goals in Scottish footie. Sparky is also available and is no slouch when it comes to scoring goals. I think the issue is really about being fully motivated when players know that the hard work has been done and the SPL title is already 'in the bag'. Whereas Celtic's remaining Scottish Cup tie(s) will draw a highly motivated team performance that will be very difficult to subdue for any Scottish footie challenger.

I hope you are right mate
Mibby I'm just looking for issues
But I don't think we are the finished article
There is still room for improvement
Not sure lustig or Gamboa are the answers.
Biton is so frustrating to watch
and we need a number 10 Armstrong and Rodjic are good but not sure they are good enough in that position.
And is McGregor good enough long term ??
Yes I'm nit picking but if we have pretences of doing 10 in a row or ever getting out of the group stages of either euro cup we need better.

The Saint Mirren SC tie looks like a potential 'banana skin' but IMO that is dependent on how the Hoops play on Saturday even though the Buddies are on a confidence boosting unbeaten run at the moment. I think the Celtic players will see this game as an extra challenge in their quest for the 'treble' with a probable Dembele 'hat trick' if he plays. The Buddies won't be accustomed to defending against a top class striker like Dembele.
