Jan 03: WBA 2018/19 Transfer Window
I think it’s best to wait until we get the official announcement from the club. So far the club has announced the youth players to be released but not any first team squad players. The contracts of Myhill, McAuley, Yacob and Morrison all end on the 30th June so there’s still time for new contracts to be discussed and agreed.

I would personally like McAuley to stay as 4th centre back and experienced cover for Dawson, Hegazi and a new signing, Yacob to stay because we lack a midfielder like him and he should enjoy the Championship and Morrison because he still has something to offer us as long as he can stay fit.

It's looking increasingly like GMac will be going to Rangers. I'd really like him to stay but I also think it would be a good move for him. Even though he's only been with about six seasons (i think), he's become a real legend and favourite with the fans - I saw him outside the ground once and he's got the longest legs I've ever seen on a fella. Mind you, this has to be tempered by the fact I'm a shortarse Smile

Swansea have announced Graham Potter as their new manager, with the former Ostersunds boss agreeing a three-year contract to replace Carlos Carvalhal following their Premier League relegation.

Good luck to Graham Potter. He did great work with Östersunds and has ability to be a success with Swansea but the difference in league quality may play a part early into the season as he adjusts.
Josef de Souza linked again from Fenerbahçe - https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/f...s-14771154

I said the other day that we need a proper box-to-box central midfielder. A player with great stamina who is capable of getting up and down the pitch, tough and clean into tackles, can drive forward with the ball and has the passing ability to provide to the attack, something that Livermore simply hasn’t done consistently.

Josef de Souza will definitely do that. Please let it happen.

#wba have money to spend this summer on the rebuild. Understand Brentford's Ryan Woods is a top target alongside his Bees' team-mate Romaine Sawyers. More here: https://t.co/HMFWh6bYSk

Whow.....getting to the stage of being pretty exciting - although how much of the "Baggies tabled a £??? offer " stuff is true, is still questionable.
Gotta admit tho, the players we are linked with, IMO, are absolutely the right kind to get us in the mix at the top of the Championship. Whether or not they can cut it in the PL is irrelevant.

Hope that’s right Josh, I saw a list an Albion mate posted saying they were being released. Hope we keep both Mozza and Yacob.

According to a report from the Yorkshire Evening Post, West Brom have joined the race to sign Matej Vydra this summer and would be able to offer the Derby forward a significantly better wage than Leeds can. #wba
