Jan Siewert has got himself a new job. He's now Head of Academy Coaching at Mainz.
Good luck to him. He was thrown in at the deep end at our place. Wrong appointment at the wrong time, even though I never said so at the time. Big Grin

He may be an Everton player and some say he's a greedy sod for going there for the money, but he still loves us here and now it's just been announced that Jonas Lossl is still sponsoring players for Huddersfield Town Women.
Good lad. Thumb up

Sheffield Wednesday deducted 12 points for 2020-21 season

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53612257

Quote:Sheffield Wednesday have been deducted 12 points by an independent disciplinary panel for the 2020-21 season for breaking spending rules.
They breached rules by including the sale of their Hillsborough Stadium home in their 2017-18 accounts despite the ground being sold a year later.
They were not guilty of "breaching its duty of utmost good faith to the EFL by deliberately concealing information".
The Owls say they are "extremely disappointed" by the points deduction.
If the points deduction had been imposed on the Yorkshire side for the recently completed 2019-20 season, they would have finished bottom of the Championship and been relegated.
It would also have rescued Charlton Athletic from an immediate return to League One.

They ought to appeal that. Whistle

Why next season and not this? Talk about dragging it out?

No real idea aside from the fact the season has now finished. The precedent has been set in previous years as to when the points have been deducted. This took the EFL over 250 days to rule on!!!
