If I did that, I might end up saying something truly daft, like how I'd expect Leanne Battersby to have strong words (and give slaps about the chops) to Mark Warburton if Dean Shiels doesn't score the winner on Sunday.

I heard this yesterday, but assumed it was all pish and wind:

Joey Barton at Auchenhowie for contract talks.

Turns out it's actually true...maybe. That would be a coup. His bevaviku was atrocious as a young man - cigar in eye incident etc - but he does seem to have matured. He's a very good player who, had he been nurtured a little differently, would have been a real star for England.

King would certainly be giving the finger to his detractors if it's pulled off.

There is no doubting Joey Barton's ability, but it is his character that gives rise to doubts. More than once has Mark Warburton said he will only sign players that fit into the dressing room and add value to the squad and Club. Any disruptive and/or prima donna characters are not wanted and will not be recruited.
