After his retirement, Winter graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a degree and returned to football, working for Grimsby Town before moving to Watford and serving as community director and then deputy C.E.O.
In December 2008, Winter was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Watford following the resignation of Mark Ashton.[1] He subsequently left his post in June 2011[2] and joined Sheffield United the following September as Chief Executive.[3] After a year in the post Winter left the Blades in September 2012,[4] only to return to the role less than a year later.[5] After new owners purchased 50 percent of United, Winter left his post for the second time in December 2013.[6]

He was by far and away our best player that season and if we had got him for another year on loan we could have built our team around him. Instead we lost him and Lee Clark decided to sign every central midfielder known to man to fill the gap. Always knew he was destined for the premier league but even I didn't think Roy would be brave enough to pick him. Been banging on to my mates that he is one of the best central midfielders in the league for his role but they all didn't believe me. Hope they see the hype now. Always great to see people proved wrong especially my mates who are largely arsenal fans.

He's a right player is Danny, was always coming short looking the ball in his time with Town, top quality player. Hope he proves himself when he gets the chance, I'll be cheering him in both games

Always thought he had it in him, Pilks as well. Chilwell needs to get some more first team action next season, probably at Leicester rather than lowering his sites and sitting on a bench at Arsenal, Liverpool or wherever and he won't be far behind joining Drinkwater in the England team.
Plenty of numpties that clearly don't watch football from anywhere other than their armchair or local pub still on 606  .

just shows how blinkered some fans are out there. they dont see anything past their patch, whether that patch is good or bad. when someone who is a little bit off the beaten track appears on the scene he is instantly rated as not even good enough for the prem let alone anything more, they dont know what his skillsets are and therefore put him on their imaginary scrap heap because they cannot be arsed watching.
as a side note, looking at that squad there are a few players that i dont feel deserve to be in due to their form/fitness/age and i think that there is still too much of a big club bias, even though this season has shown that the big clubs arent all they are made out to be

What's for sure is this, if anyone comes out of those two games with glowing reports then they are well and truely in with a shout of the Euro's squad
I'd also prefer to look at the positives in the squad, too much is made of who isn't good enough for England, I, not good enough for England but by eck I'd give it the old 110% for my country.
