Good opportunity for O' Halloran or King to establish themselves, with Miller and Clark covering the centre forward slot adequately. Waghorn is a loss, sure, but it might not turn out to be such a big one.

Edit: Waghorn himself confirms the six to eight week lay off, but is aiming to recover quickly.

Predictably, STV journos are now trying to make a big thing of the 'unforgiving' comment about the pitch. Warburton will have been 'fuming' and 'raging' about it before you know it. Wait and see.

Just wait until the local Editors get a hold of this one: "Waghorn claims Killie pitch strewn with anti personnel mines...Warburton takes out contract on groundsmen".

It's started: "unforgiving" is the new blasphemy.

Just have to get on with it simple as that these pitches are there because clubs canny afford grass,it's no ideal but it's where Scottish football is just now.

We are getting on with it. We have an artificial pitch at QotS on Sunday. Doesn't mean we can't and shouldn't highlight our concerns when we believe it contributed to a player's injury.

And, for clarification again: The term used was 'unforgiving surface'. Nothing else, nothing more. If the media want to inflate that into something it clearly isn't, then Rangers can do nothing about it to be honest. An innocuous comment taken out of context - again - simply to create a story out of f*ck all.

You've no choice in the matter Trus just got to get on with it,nothing wrong with highlighting concerns though ultimately the players health is the priority.

It's not just the media - mugs like Johnston at Killie joining with stupid demands for removal of the word "unforgiving" are a joke.

Jehovah!

My lad has a 7m x 4m 4G pitch in the back garden - but he's only allowed to refer to it as "brilliant". (Not kidding, eldest daughter's ex boyfriend installs astroturf for a living and got me a few offcuts and the underlay etc.  Even comes with the white line on the edge of the roll!)

Haha, if the media and Killie go into conniptions at the perceived slagging off of their pitch, they'll go tonto when they hear what Warburton's meant to have said at the presser today:

Mark Warburton wants artificial pitches banned in the Scottish top flight.

Warburton in no doubt Waghorn injury down to Killie pitch. Admits Waghorn could be out for the rest of the season

What are Killie worrying about?? like they say it's complaint so get on with it,Rangers are entitled to feel it was the pitch so what's the problem?

19/02/2016 : MW{1} hopes MW{33} will be back this Season, but it obviously depends on his recovery from the injury.
There are 12 SPFL2 games left.
