Norwich have signed Ghanaian midfielder Amankwah Forson from Austrian club RB Salzburg for an undisclosed fee.

The 21-year-old, who appeared in the Champions League last season, has signed a four-year contract with the Canaries.

He said:, external "I'm really happy and excited to come to the club.

"The head coach has worked before with so many young players, it's really nice to be here working with him."

Sporting director Ben Knapper said Forson is a "great fit" for Norwich and would add "quality and versatility" to the squad.

Norwich begin their Championship campaign under new manager Johannes Hoff Thorup against newly promoted Oxford United on Saturday afternoon.

They have also signed England Under-21 international Callum Doyle, Jose Cordoba and Ben Chrisene this summer.

Republic of Ireland striker Adam Idah has completed his permanent transfer from Norwich City to Celtic for an undisclosed fee, saying "everyone knew where I wanted to be".

The 23-year-old, who has agreed a five-year contract, was on loan with the Scottish champions in the second half of last season, scoring nine goals.

In early July, Norwich turned down Celtic's opening offer, believed to be around £4m-5m, but a higher offer has since been accepted.

Idah had been facing disciplinary measures at Norwich after missing a flight to their pre-season camp in Austria but came on as a second-half substitute in Saturday's 2-0 Championship defeat by Oxford United.

But he told Celtic TV: "Everyone back home, all my family and friends, they all wanted me to come back to Celtic, myself included, so it's massive and I'm just so happy to be here.

"Within the first couple of days of being here, when I came on loan first time, I wanted to play for Celtic. It was amazing to get all of those goals and to be in with the boys and to see these amazing fans week in, week out was unbelievable.

"I've never experienced anything like it and I'm just so happy to be back.

"I always wanted to play for Celtic and obviously last season was amazing."

In the last of his 19 appearances for Brendan Rodgers' side, Idah hit a last-minute winner in the Scottish Cup final against Rangers and the Celtic manager is delighted to welcome back such a "dynamic, hungry, committed player".

"The club has done brilliantly to secure this long-term deal," he added. "We are investing in a player of real quality who will be crucial for us over the next few years.

"He is a player who already has given us so much, performing fantastically for us on loan and really delivering for the club and our fans last season. He played a pivotal role in our success last year and I know he can be hugely important for us again."

Norwich sporting director Ben Knapper described the move as "a great opportunity at Celtic to continue his progression".

"The academy staff have taken great pride in seeing Adam develop from a youth team player into the senior squad and going on to become a full international with the Republic of Ireland," he told his club website.

"So many people here played a part in his journey and he and everyone should be really proud of that."

Norwich have agreed to sell winger Jonathan Rowe to Marseille in a £17m deal.

The 21-year-old is due to move to Stade Velodrome on loan with an obligation to buy for £14m plus £3m in add-ons - with Norwich also including a sell-on clause.

Marseille had previous bids rejected for the England Under-21 international but he is now due to join boss Roberto de Zerbi in the south of France.

Canaries boss Johannes Hoff Thorup said this month Rowe had declined to play in their 2-0 opening-day defeat at Oxford amid interest from the Ligue 1 club.

He had been training with the club's under-21s and did not feature in Norwich's Carabao Cup win over Stevenage and the 2-2 Championship draw with Blackburn.

Rowe, who came through the club's academy, scored 13 goals in 38 appearances last season as the Canaries lost to Leeds in their Championship play-off semi-final.

It comes after forward Abu Kamara, 21, who is wanted by Portsmouth, handed in a transfer request this week, while the Canaries have also sold striker Adam Idah to Celtic.

They are close to signing striker Ante Crnac from Polish side Rakow Czestochowa, with the 20-year-old Croatian - who scored eight goals in 26 league matches last season - seen as a direct replacement for Idah.

Marseille have signed Norwich City winger Jonathan Rowe on a season-long loan deal with an obligation to buy.

BBC Sport understands the deal for the 21-year-old is worth £17m in total, with Norwich also including a sell-on clause.

Norwich City have signed Denmark Under-19 international Oscar Schwartau on a four-year contract.

The 18-year-old arrives from Brondby IF, where he was the club's youngest debutant at the age of 16 years and 61 days in 2022, and later became their youngest goalscorer.

The attacking midfielder, who says his move to Carrow Road is a "big moment" in his career, has made 46 appearances and scored six goals over two seasons for Brondby and his deal includes an option for an extra year.

“Despite being just 18 years old, he already has some great experience in senior football, in both domestic and European competition. We are sure that in our environment, we can continue to develop him to realise his full potential.

Norwich City have signed Tunisia midfielder Anis Ben Slimane from Sheffield United on a season-long loan.

The deal includes an option to buy the 23-year-old, who joined the Blades from Danish club Brondby last summer for an undisclosed fee.

He was a 70th-minute substitute when United drew 0-0 at Carrow Road last Saturday.

"We feel he is another really good addition that will increase the competition within our group and give us more options and flexibility," said Norwich sporting director Ben Knapper, external.

"He adds a slightly different profile than what we have already, and can draw upon experience of both the Premier League and international football."

Slimane was previously coached by City boss Johannes Hoff Thorup when he was in the academy squad at Danish club Akademisk Boldklub.

"I know the manager pretty well and I've been told a lot of good things about the club, fans, training facilities. I'm just really looking forward to getting started," he said.

Norwich are away to Coventry City on Saturday.
