League One newcomers Leyton Orient have re-signed Brighton & Hove Albion centre-back Ed Turns on a season-long loan deal.
The 20-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with the O's, scoring two goals in 16 outings as the club won the League Two title.
The Wales Under-21 international is Orient's eighth summer signing.
"It was a really easy decision for us to bring Ed back," head coach Richie Wellens told the club website.
"We had a conversation with Brighton at the end of last season and we agreed that Ed's natural progression would be to play in League One."
Orient begin the 2023-24 campaign away to Charlton Athletic on Saturday (15:00 BST).

League One newcomers Leyton Orient have signed former Birmingham City forward Jordan Graham on a two-year deal.
The 28-year-old was released by the Championship club at the end of last season after making 54 appearances over the course of two years with the Blues.
A former Aston Villa trainee, Graham has had permanent spells at Wolves and Gillingham and loan stints with Ipswich, Bradford, Oxford and Fulham.
He becomes Orient's ninth signing of the summer transfer window.
O's head coach Richie Wellens expects to strengthen his squad further after a couple of injuries to strikers in pre-season.
"We will probably get one more striker in because Aaron Drinan has picked up an injury and Dan Agyei has picked up an injury which will be long term," Wellens told BBC Sport.
"We've signed Joe Pigott who we expect a certain number of goals from.
"If everybody was fit then I'd be absolutely delighted with the squad."
Agyei, who scored 16 goals in League Two for Crewe last season, could be missing for up to five months.
Orient begin the League One campaign away to Charlton Athletic on Saturday (15:00 BST).

League One club Leyton Orient have signed Watford forward Shaq Forde on a season-long loan deal.
The 19-year-old has made one senior appearance for the Championship club, which came in the FA Cup in 2022.
He spent the second half of last season with National League club York City, scoring nine goals in 20 league outings for the Minstermen.
"Shaq gives us a lot more attacking speed, and gives us more options," boss Richie Wellens told the club website.
"We're confident he can bring us goals and he brings that exuberance to the squad, which I think we have been lacking recently."

Leyton Orient have signed Welsh defender Brandon Cooper on a permanent deal from Swansea.
After spending the first half of the season on loan, Cooper - 24 last Sunday - has signed until the end of the 2025/26 season for an undisclosed fee.
Cooper has played 17 games for the O's, with 13 coming in League One.
The centre-back said: "There are lots of attractive things about the club. I loved my time here, and it was a no-brainer for me to come back."
The move ends Cooper's 18-year association with Swansea, during which he made 11 senior appearances, though he had loan spells with Yeovil, Newport, Swindon and Forest Green before joining Orient.
He told the club website: "Everything about the club made me want to come back. Playing at the stadium in front of the fans who fill out the ground almost every week and the style of play suits me well."
Head coach Richie Wellens said he was "really happy" to have secured Cooper's signature on a permanent deal.
"He came in and was fantastic for the first few months of the season," he added. "We think that there is real room for development in him, and I think he can go on to become a really good player for the club."

Leyton Orient have signed Ollie O'Neill from Fulham for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old winger has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the League One club.
O'Neill played and scored for Fulham in their EFL Trophy group game against the O's at Brisbane Road in September.
"I'm really excited to be starting the next chapter at Leyton Orient, a club that feels like it has got real momentum behind it at the moment," O'Neill told the O's club website.
Orient are ninth in League One but 11 points off the play-off places.
O'Neill, who was loaned to League of Ireland club Derry City last season, is the O's' second addition of the January transfer window, following the arrival of Brandon Cooper from Swansea last week.
"I know that this is the right time for me to leave the nest of academy football. I had a good taste of senior football last season and now I'm ready to challenge myself in League One," O'Neill added.
"I like to play wide, get on the ball, and create lots of chances for myself and my team-mates."

Leyton Orient midfielder Darren Pratley, who will turn 40 next April, has signed a new one-year contract.
Pratley is the club captain and has made almost 700 appearances during a career which has included spells at Swansea, Bolton and Charlton. He joined the O's during the summer of 2021.
"Even though I know I won’t start every game, I still feel like I can contribute to the team on the pitch," he told Orient's website., external
East Londoner Pratley managed 37 appearances for the League One side this season, having helped the club win promotion the previous year. He has also been involved in coaching.
He added: "When I’m not playing, I know that I can play a role by using my experience to help guide our younger players, which is something that I enjoy.
“This may well be my final playing contract and during the new season the club have told me that there may be more opportunities for me to do some coaching, which I am very grateful for as well.”
Head coach Richie Wellens said: "When managers talk about having a good dressing room, it’s because they have people like Darren Pratley in them.
"Prats is someone that all young players should look up to in terms of the way he looks after himself, the way he trains and the way he communicates with others."
