Don't laugh. Forest could be losing Steve Cooper to Brighton.

Thanks Snoots - there's tea all over my keyboard now.
Glad you didn't post it later when (heaven forbid) ale might have come down my nose. Prima Donna League just announced all their games off this weekend. Glad I didn't plan on going to QPR this weekend as it's likely all the EFL games will be off too. They've just announced the same.

What a ridiculous decision.
There's a lot of people and organisations that will need compensating for this. It isn't a government decision, it's down to each individual organisation.

Another match thread of mine postponed
I was gonna put a quid on cooper to forest when potter was rumoured for Chelsea but 4/1 didn't look appealing

I know what you mean jjamez. A short list of 4 with one of them I'm assuming being made up because of where Cooperman had come from, the odds aren't going to be great.
I'd also prepared my usual match day stuff (similar to what I post on here) for my nephew and friends across the pond. Was looking for the Pressers when the news came through. Still, it's saved as a draft and can be used with some editing when September 10th becomes October the somethingth or January the whateverth.

FSA calls it right, EFL, Prima Donna League et al further down the pyramid judge the mood completely wrong, yet again.
Many have bought tickets, travel and in some cases accommodation for this weekend that they will at best get reimbursed at a loss of some booking and P&P fees and at worst nothing at all. https://www.theguardian.com/football/202...pportunity BBC Radio 2 have also called off next weekend's "Live In L666s" event - why? Pathetic to call it a mark of respect when they've plugged the crap out of it for at least 3 months. More refunds that won't be paid in full. Windass gives his opinion - I agree with him. https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/sport/foo...s-24973776

Exactly - I somewhat get that games cancelled last night are now out of whack, but there's not just fans but all kinds of other suppliers (merch, grub, booze) that are going to be out of pocket this weekend (and next in Leeds) at a time when most can ill afford it.
Hell, those of us that should have played Coventry are all out of whack too for the sake of some grass seed and turning the sprinklers on. I've got my ticket for that one but still no clue if or when I'll get to use it.

I get it and I get the historical and momentous week this has been and will be for a while, but for me cancelling sports or other events is pointless this weekend. I would be more in favor if say the funeral were to be next weekend for calling off games then, but I don't see the point this weekend. The respect thing is something that could actually be shown better by a minutes silence or applause or by the playing of the National Anthem at all games this weekend.
