A woman apparently shot on the Capitol grounds, critically injured. I can't believe the WDC state Police were not fully prepared for this shit which many reputable political folk in the US warned about days ago!!! THIS IS TRUMP'S LEGACY - WATCH IT IN UTTER ASTONISHMENT!! I BELIEVE THE BASTARD SHOULD FINALLY BE ARRESTED FOR INCITEMENT TO HARM OTHER ELECTED OFFICIALS ETC ETC ETC !!! F### the formal end of his presidential term - "nail" the c### and give him his just desserts!! What an advertisement of the USA to a world audience - absolutely astounding!!!

Imagine if this was 30,000 black or muslim Americans? Imagine the outcry from the right and imagine the bloodshed we would now be seeing? These people should be tried as terrorists and tried for treason against the USA. The GOP and its leaders should all now either resign or condemn both the protestors and the man who has spent 4 years feeding them crap.

Absolutely unbelievable, horrendous, vile scenes at The Capitol tonight, but strangely unsurprising. Every decent person, left right or centre, will be horrified on this assault on democracy.

But of course the words "decency", "democracy" and "Trump supporters" are incompatible, as has been proved time and time again over the last four years.

I'm listening to a former Republican Congresswoman asserting that the 25th amendment should be invoked on Trump. At last, somebody demanding impeachment after watching the video of Trump rallying his troops to "march on the Capitol"????? And this woman is a Republican huhhhh! Interestingly a White House insider saying Trump is actually "out of his mind" and is obsessed with the thought that he lost the US election to the point where it is driving him nuts. He was already nuts a long time ago mate!!! Rolleyes

You don't even have to speculate in those terms mate. Just look how the police treated Iraq war veterans who marched to the capitol building. These guys were virtually waved through in comparison, it looks very suspicious to me.

A crap coup attempt, by a mob stirred up by a key figure in the resurgence of extreme right wing nationalism. Its all so depressingly familiar, we have been talking about it since he was elected.

After the "dust has settled" we discover four rioters have been shot dead, some of the extreme "nut jobs" have brought pipe bombs to the protest FFS!! It also transpires that officials were aware of this plan to march on the Capitol - they knew weeks ago from studying social media plans from many of these RW militia groups!! Even more suspicious when one does indeed study the tv footage and the huge lack of preparation and Police resources to deal with this pre-planned riot - absolutely glaring!!

I'm just listening to previous radio footage of another "nut job"/Trump lawyer named, Giuliani, who uttered that the Senate needed a "trial by combat" before the protesters finally rioted!!? IMO arrest this man and jail him on a public mischief charge of some sort!! There was also an enlightening interview of two female protesters on CNN that exposed the level of ignorance and naivety attached to these brainwashed morons. The interviewer commenting, "What about the violence associated with this protest"? To which these ignoramuses commented that they didn't do violence, blanking the reporter in the process, and then suddenly contradicting themselves by saying they would drag these horrible senators "by the hair" from the debating chamber????? The low level of intelligence and accountability was seriously "jaw dropping"!!

Had a similar mob marched on one of his hotels or golf courses and committed similar acts of vandalism he'd have been calling in the National Guard. He certainly wouldn't have called them patriots and neither would his dullard of a daughter.
