Jan 03: WBA 2018/19 Transfer Window
Well first one of the window named in the press as Mason Holgate a 22 year old centre back from Everton, apparently having a medical today, nothing confirmed from the club as yet.

it doesnt really but those figures show we made profit after profit and because of one season we spent it we have no money ?
Our current owner says he is not putting money in so that's really that,
Jenkins said this summer we had a strong budget of which we made a profit of 12. 5 million
Our owner wont spend and Jenkins just lies EG; Srtrong budget that's what our owners are about and relates very much where we are with them at the moment.

IMO Holgate would be a decent bit of business.

Right back is the area we needed to address most so if we were able to get this over the line on the 1st Jan, happy days.

While he might've played more games at centre half than right back last season, he looked quite capable when Everton first brought him through at right back. Also he has operated at right back for England U21 side. Adarabioyo looks a fish out of water there, as a centre half playing out of position who is very uncomfortable on the ball. While Holgate might also be a centre half in the long term, he's a far better footballer than Adarabioyo. Also can cover numerous positions in the case of an injury crisis.

Young but still played a fair share of Prem games.

I got quite excited when we bought Joe Mattock, who had played left back for England u-21....
But I think you're right. Smile

Holgate has signed:

I expect we’ll see a defence set-up of:

Gibbs - Hegazi - Dawson - Holgate
Johnstone

Fancy signing Holgate even before the transfer window opens tomorrow. I mean it doesn't seem true as normally we are sweating our frollocks off til the last few days - then panic - normally over who they bought in.

Gatters looks a decent signing.

This is worrying if true:

Ian Stringer
@StringerSport
From what Claude Puel has just told me it sounds as though Harvey Barnes is going to be recalled from West Brom.

From what I can make out Ian Stringer is a BBC corespondent with Leicester being his main club.

UPDATE:
BBC Leicester Sport

Puel on players out on loan, and whether they will return.
Benkovic: "We have a lot of defenders, if we don't have injuries it's better he maintains his loan.
Harvey Barnes: "We will see..."
