Trump Watch activated!
Donald Trump has unintentionally thrown his son under the bus. Over the weekend he tweeted that Don Junior met with the Russian Natalia Veselnitskaya in 2016 to get information about Hillary Clinton from Russia. The meeting itself is very iffy legality wise.

Getting opposition research is fine, getting opposition research from a foreign country is not legal. If any information was passed over or an agreement was made for the future release of Clinton info (that would bring in Wikileaks and Julian Assange) then Junior and Kushner are in some legal jeopardy. It could even bring Trump into it if he gave the go-ahead for the meeting or was told after the meeting.

There is also Junior’s testimony to Congress. During it he said that his Dad didn’t know about the Russia meeting. If Mueller can corroborate Cohen’s claim that Trump did know about it when it happened, then Junior can be done for lying to Congress, which has a 5 year prison sentence, in addition to perjury.

As for the meeting, they always said that it was about adoption. That was always clearly bullshit but now Trump has proven that it was bullshit. I look forward to seeing his supporters try to defend it going forward.

Now Trump's sanctions take effect from midnight tonight. Listening to Trump's security advisor, John Bolton, commenting that this is not "regime change" - a lying little toad! Obama tried this ploy a good few years ago and failed and his sanctions were multi-lateral! Trump is on his own on this one and also affecting secondary Euro interests as well as going against Euro allies on the nuclear deal. So Trump backs Israel and now his shit practise wages an economic war against Iran! So much for peace in the Middle East ever happening!

Paul Manifort's trial now in it's 2nd week and now, as previously commented, Trump throws his son "under a truck". Cohen's recordings stack up and "hush money" finally admitted after all the lies. Throw in unlawful emollient money (Trump being pursued by the NY Attorney General) being funneled to his own business.
Impeachment to come? Many law experts in the US reckon he can theoretically be impeached on obstruction of justice. I'd also love to see Robert Mueller finding the required evidence on collusion/conspiracy, a case of GOTCHA!

It doesn’t effect Trump or the Russia Investigation but I’ve found this interesting. Representative Chris Collins, who is one of Trump’s biggest allies and the first Congressman to come out in support of him before the election, has been indicted with Conspiracy to Commit Securities Fraud, Wire Fraud and Making False Statements which stems from an alleged insider trading scheme. The trading is on an Australian pharmaceutical company that he was on the board of. His son has also been indicted for his role in the insider trading.

Now this doesn’t effect Trump politically but it could help the Democrats in the midterms. During Trump’s Campaign he talked about “Draining the Swamp” yet since his election win there has been a lot of people within the Campaign, Administration and Congress on the Republican side who have been involved in scandals or indicted for crimes.

Trump hasn’t drained the swamp, he and the GOP have infested it. That is what the Democrats have to include in their focus in the run-up to the Midterms.

In other news a Republican ran district in Ohio for over three decades has had a special election. Trump won the district by 10 points 19 months ago, last night the Republican had a strong footing of 50.2 of the vote. The Democrat had 49.3 of the vote. That 10 point gap has been raked in and there was still thousands of votes left to be counted and verified. If the gap is pulled to 0.5 then a recount is automatically started.

To make things worse for the Republicans, Trump endorsed the guy and appeared at a rally last week. It seems like people are starting to wake up.

Now the US State Dept imposes sanctions against Russia under their own recognition and code re the illegal use of chemical weapons. No response so far from officials at the White House and it will be interesting to hear what they say if they do eventually comment.

FBI Agent Peter Strzok has been fired by the FBI Deputy Director. Strzok has faced heavy criticism from Republicans and the Administration for Anti-Trump texts that he sent during the months leading up to the Election.

Whilst I agree with the firing, I think he has been made a scapegoat. Every member of the FBI has political bias but they leave it at the door when they go to work. Strzok was exonerated of any workplace bias by the Inspector General Report a couple of months ago. He sent negative messages about Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders but they have been neglected by the Republicans and Trump Administration.

The FBI has the chance to get the public fully onside again. This could be a good first step but they have to root out all the problem Agents (For example, the Agents who gave Rudy Giuliani info about the Clinton Investigation a couple of day before James Comey re-opened it) not just the scapegoat Peter Strzok.

President Trump is getting a beating by Omarosa’s new book and media coverage. She has provided tapes of her firing by Chief of Staff Kelly and has even said there’s a tape of Trump saying the n-word and she has corroborating witnesses to the tape. She has said she’s in contact with Robert Mueller’s team about any other tapes she has that they might be interested in. In response Trump has called her a lowlife and a dog.

It’s very entertaining to watch him become more unhinged and more desperate as each day goes by.

An absolute outrage no one has impeached this clown yet.

The guy is a racist and a cad as we all know and that recent withdrawal of John Brennan's security clearance just confirms how much of a moron he actually is. Brennan's response is absolutely cutting and "to the point" - "We are witnessing the behaviour of a US President who behaves like some kinda tin pot dictator"! Also I notice there is a national protest of journos who have had enough of Trump's continuous attacks against them. I can't believe Trump is still in office!!
