12 tapes all secretly recorded by Michael Cohen and all in the hands of Prosecutors. I don’t expect there to be any evidence of Russian Collusion on the tapes because Trump’s legal team wouldn’t have waived their privilege on the tapes if there was.
Some of the tapes could however be used by the Southern District of New York as evidence of Bank Fraud and Campaign Finance Violations. 11 Republican House Members have started impeachment proceedings against Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. For it to get anywhere, the House will have to vote on it and a majority will need to say Yes. Then it will go to the Senate for trial where a two thirds majority will be needed to remove Rosenstein from office. It shouldn’t get anywhere to be honest. Some Republicans like Trey Gowdy have pushed back against the suggestion of impeachment in recent weeks and the Democrats will obviously vote no. In my opinion it’s just a ploy to remove Rosenstein from office so Trump can appoint someone who will end the Russia Investigation. Trump won’t fire Rosenstein because Rosenstein’s boss Attorney General Jeff Sessions will resign and the Senate will refuse to push through a replacement for Sessions. I also think Mueller has sealed indictments ready to unseal if Rosenstein is fired. American comedian Stephen Colbert started his show last night with a re-enactment of the published tape. The 11 Republicans have now tabled their impeachment plans.
They will instead look into Contempt of Congress proceedings if the DOJ don’t fully comply with the House requests. Allen Weisselberg has now been subpoenaed to appear in front of a Grand Jury as part of the Investigation of Michael Cohen. Weissleberg is the Chief Financial Officer for the Trump Organization. The new defence coming from Trump and his legal team has shifted. It was “no collusion”, it is now “collusion is not a crime”.
Collusion with another person or country is classed as Conspiracy and that is a Federal crime. That is what Trump, Junior, and Kushner could be charged with in the future. 18 U.S. Code § 371 - Conspiracy to commit offense or to defraud United States If two or more persons conspire either to commit any offense against the United States, or to defraud the United States, or any agency thereof in any manner or for any purpose, and one or more of such persons do any act to effect the object of the conspiracy, each shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both. Trump is back to gaslighting again. He tweeted this morning that Attorney General Jess Sessions should end the Russia Investigation and he also attacked Robert Mueller and his team. For a start Sessions can’t do anything about the Investigation because he is recused from it. The only person who can end it is Rod Rosenstein and I think he’d rather be fired than end the Investigation. Trump also won’t fire him because it will add to the Obstruction of Justice evidence and Sessions will resign. This gaslighting and increase in volumes of attacks leads me to believe that something bigger is coming. I hope it will be Conspiracy indictments for Junior and/or Kushner but it could be something else arising from Cohen’s co-operation.

You have to hope something bigger than what we have seen so far from Mueller is coming!! So far while a number of indictments have been sent out this investigation needs to go after a bigger fish at some point or else its credibility within Trump's ranks will continue to dwindle!! Unfortunately he is the only mouthpiece that anyone is listening to on his side, I get that Mueller cannot tweet like Trump can so he has to speak with some heavyweight actions soon.
I know a number of very educated and reasonable people, some friends, who voted for Trump and I am still amazed by their support for him!! They all know that he lies or exaggerates things, they know his morals with regards to women or minorities is not good, they don't like the way he is close to Putin, they don't want money spending on a wall but do want a wall, they don't mind he has so far caved on a lot of election promises, they don't like trade wars etc etc, yet their support of him in unshakable!!!! There is quite a strong movement over here to encourage Trump's detractors to simply stop engaging his supporters as it is just ramping up the rhetoric and fake news , the theory being you will not change their minds so don't spend energy and time trying to do so.
That is what is so alarming re Trump's survival so far - the high level of support for a US president who has no moral fibre in his big toe, let alone elsewhere in his anatomy, and a guy who regularly applies a WWE style of dialogue and antagonism that is absolutely unacceptable in this 21st century politic. Study Trump's aggressive antics in the WWE arena well before he eventually and surprisingly became president - his behaviour has never changed and amazingly there are millions of Americans who are attracted to this shit. I personally fear there is a huge threat of another war coming unless somebody finally "reels in" Trump on a massive charge that will impeach and finally remove him.
