About 3 years at the next election but even that isn’t a guarantee!!!! His base love him, love the fact he isn’t a polished politician and love the way he goes after those he doesn’t like or agree with. Seriously, with a large chunk of them he can do no wrong!!!!

Luckily, the “real” politicians are keeping him in check in terms of actual policy and laws and there seems to be no sign of that stopping. He really is like a tv personality, he is all mouth and acting but when it comes to the real substance he leaves it to the directors!!!

My 'gut feeling' still tells me there is one 'huge event' that is gonna remove Trump from the oval office. We can only wait n see what will happen but I don't believe Trump will last the three years and unsurprised he is so heavily protected.

There is part of me that agrees with you over one big skeleton that may come out of the closet, but if it does it has to be completely irrefutable and needs to take Mike Pence with him. If not then it will never be accepted by the average Republican and always labeled as a Democrat led witch hunt, if that happens we may well find an even more backward and right wing Republican standing for election and doing so with an invigorated base!!! The best case scenario is for the Democrats to have a number of successful campaigns in the November mid-terms and take control of either the House or the Senate, that will prevent him from passing anything that will really damage the country and give them some much needed momentum going into the 2020 election.

Ironically the best way you might be able to “hurt” Trump is to actually beat him in a valid election, his ego would struggle to take that and maybe the mainstream Republicans would turn its back on him finally.

Re the Democrats' political position, surely it is 'high time' they found a potential mercurial leader who would galvanise the whole Democrat movement across the country. IMO that is the 'missing factor' that needs to be sorted in the coming months/years.

Absolutely correct and it’s their biggest issue!!! Bernie is not the right guy, too old and too left wing for most independents. It’s also not a celebrity like Oprah. None coming forward yet but I think the will wait until the mid terms are done and see where they stand.
