Trump Watch activated!

I loved the gifts they exchanged. Trump's was a good one, the complete works by MLK I believe, nice gift. The Pope's was a classic though - a medallion with an olive branch on it, a bound copy of the paper he wrote regarding his thoughts about climate change and his urging for countries across the globe to take it seriously plus copies of two other papers he has written!!!

Aye! The complete works of MLK presented by a US President is a paradox in it's own right if one watches the documentary movie 'Thirteenth' that covers the historical oppression of black Americans and their leaders and so much for the true ethos of the Thirteenth Amendment of the US constitution!

This is the the 'other side of the coin' Jim and see how many platitudes etc emanate from western media sources and politicians - deja vu, similar events previously reported in Yemen, Iraq, Afghanistan, the Gulf but the regard for such a horrific killing of human life is downgraded!

Comey testifying to Congress re Trump's involvement in trying to close down the FBI election investigation. I hope he fatally wounds Trump with his evidence and this president eventually 'limps along' with no credibility whatsoever and is hopefully impeached!! IMO this 'nut job' should be nowhere near the oval office and that's a fact!

The midterms will probably determine whether this loonball is put out to pasture or not.

Read this account re the protests against the whole electoral system in the USA and how the country and it's divided population could ever be landed with this embarrassment of a US president. I'd generally refer to Amnesty International's previous criticisms of the USA in terms of it's abuse of human rights, crass authoritarianism, institutional racism, a highly questionable penal system and the critical comparison being well matched to the worst past S American regimes. It's the fact we're now well into the 21st century and yet the USA is still static and backward when it comes to this stuff after decades of criticism and state killings!!

This is a very good current assessment of President Trump and that's what happens when you follow an isolationist policy that is not in tune with world opinion and that includes political world opinion esp after replacing a far more astute President Obama who had some kinda backbone and articulation attached to him. It also 'pains me' to watch the toerag UK govt/PM 'cosying up' to this guy clearly for trade bargaining purposes - yukkk!!
