Rangers' League Matches, Season 2016-2017
SPL (SPFL1), Friday 16/12/2016 : Hamilton Academical 1-2 Rangers

What should have been a comfortable 2-0 win from two excellent goals by Martyn Waghorn finished with a nervy ending, why ? ... because Rangers took their foot off the gas, which allowed Hamilton back into the game and a mistake by Halliday led to HA scoring their goal.

Hearts and Aberdeen seem intent now on giving 2nd place up to Rangers after already conceding top spot to Celtic before the first match!!! Rangers may not be pulling up any trees but they have more consistency than the others at the moment.

El Car made the valid point that a top team is a team whose Wins outnumber their other results. Only Rangers and Celtic qualify as top teams, the rest are mid-table (or worse).

Being second place and miles off the leaders now makes you a 'top team' eh? Laugh Fabulous stuff. Rangers are closer to hertz, aberdeen and saint johnstone in the grander scheme of things and in no way would they be called 'top teams'.

I overslept today and missed the first half (but have seen the goal since). It would be fair to say that the better team lost today. Nevertheless, Rangers continue the winning run and retain the 7 point gap over Aberdeen.
