As the old saying goes: 'You reap what you sow' and I can still vividly recall Trump's derogatory comments made about these voters quite a few years ago in a tv documentary about the Trump business empire and specifically his chances of becoming the eventual US President - he reckoned rhe 'stupid vote' (quote) within the American population would give him the presidency!!! It's a pity the majority of these voters didn't view that specific interview to become enlightened well before the event of being conned!! That interview was shown many times during the election and if I am not mistaken he was even more specific when he said he would only run as a republican as they were the easiest to lead!!! This is a man who professed to be a democrat until it was time to run for office, and that video explains why!!! RE: Trump Watch activated! - 0762 - 26-07-2017 I notice the US House of Reps have voted in sanctions against Russia. I wonder if Trump will resist this call at a time when he is pushing towards the sacking of his own appointed Attorney General! The negativity is absolutely surreal and his latest AG fiasco just 'beggars belief'. You normally appoint a person to such a demanding position and he'll settle down to business for quite a while, not a few months but it's a scenario that we've seen before and definitely indicates a common prob/factor! Its amazing that the House Republicans are passing a bill to sanction Russia over interference during the election, yet the Republican President is saying that there was no interference from Russia!!! And this bill passed with only 3 no votes!!! If there was collusion between Trump and Putin then this is a huge spanner in whatever plans they had!! The whole Trump White House is like watching an episode of The Apprentice, one mistake and you are fired!!! Sessions was one of trumps first allies in the primaries, he gave up his safe seat in Georgia to take the position and the Republicans only just squeaked over the line to hold onto that seat recently. It's just one thing after another with this administration, but still the lemmings get closer and closer to the edge of the cliff!!! RE: Trump Watch activated! - 0762 - 26-07-2017 There surely must be a time when some Republican political figures will be fretting to keep their jobs. When that time finally beckons to 'break ranks' then a formal impeachment vote/charge would be a great possibility. That will likely happen next spring/summer as the campaigns for re-election for about 1/3rd of both houses starts in earnest. The November elections are going to be key for Trump and may well define his whole presidency because if the Republicans lose enough seats then they lose control and then the Democrats will be able to have the numbers to go after him. RE: Trump Watch activated! - hibeejim21 - 26-07-2017 Its becoming absolutely clear that coco drumpf thought that the Presidential role basically had few if any restrictions. In fact he still thinks this in many instances. He thought he was going to play a bit of golf, say 'build a wall' and it would happen, 'make peace in the Middle East' and it would happen, 'eliminate ISIS' and it would happen 'get those people back to work' and it would happen ...... and in the meantime sell some more cheap tat, sign some deals with foreign powers and make him and the rest of his scummy clan rich. Trump has neither the patience, talent or intelligence for what the actual day to day job entails. He's a spoiled, rich manchild. And that's before you get to his and his administrations associations with putin. RE: Trump Watch activated! - St Charles Owl - 28-07-2017 There is a lot of anger in the Republican party over this bad defeat. This bill was seen as by far the most likely version to go through and it failed right off the bat!! You have to think after McCain's standing ovation return last week, his yes vote in that vote and now him voting no was somehow planned by him to have the maximum effect and do as much damage to trump as he could!!! There is definitely a bit of a change in the anger though, some is directed at the 3 Republicans who voted no, some at Obama/Democrats but really for the first time some is aimed at the administration, not specifically trump, but the White House!! That is good, and hopefully we will see more going forward. For now they are going to leave Healthcare alone and move onto taxation and other legislation, lets see if that gets bogged down as well. RE: Trump Watch activated! - hibeejim21 - 29-07-2017 So far this week...... He turned a boy scout jamboree into a political rally that could only bring to mind something from the 1930's. He told a totally invented story at a rally designed to foster hatred for immigrants.... in a 98% immigrant or immigrant descended nation. Tried to change government policy by Twitter in order to discriminate because of a 'cost' which is about a sixth of the cost of his golf trips so far. He encouraged police brutality and decided that people who were arrested were automatically guilty. ...... and now sacks his chief of staff by Twitter after also spending the week undermining and insulting his head of justice. What an infantile gutless bastard, voted in by other weak gutless bastards who needed a 'strong' daddy figure. The clown car that is america rumbles on. Mccain killed it by voting to allow it on the floor, had he allowed it to die at committee stage they could have issued another repeal bill now they can't revisit it this fiscal year. Mccain has totally fucked trump up the arse with this one. Deliberately so i'd guess. Good on him! |
