Mcgeough joins sunderland too. He can play at a higher level than that if you ask me,but money talks.

As for mcginn,we all know he's going there eventually.

RE: In's/Out's - 0762 - 04-07-2018

As expected, Celtic offering Scott Allan as part of the eventual deal. However, I'm thinking McGeouch gone and possibly John Mac 'on his way' in the next ten days. Where does that poss 'double hit' leave us? IMO in a weakened position unless Lenny has a contingency plan to move for other players who are decent.

RE: In's/Out's - hibeejim21 - 04-07-2018

We will need a replacement for mcginn.

If we get good money he goes with our thanks and we find a replacement. The boys family are in "with the bricks" at celtic so its understandable he wants to go there, we get allan and the right fee and we shouldnt stand in his way.

RE: In's/Out's - 0762 - 04-07-2018

Yep! I agree Jim! I'm just showing my selfish self-interest side where I don't wanna see Hibs drop down a level after a good season. That's life eh where players come and go and the team gradually evolves to give something different for Hibs fans to observe and support.

RE: In's/Out's - 1Wattie - 04-07-2018

John McGinn is well capable of playing at a higher level than Celtic and should hold out for an offer from down south in my opinion simply because it will bring him a far bigger financial package.
Teams in the Championship are bidding £15/20M for players and paying in excess of £50,000 a week and Celtic will only bid around £2M for him and his pay deal will be considerably less.probably around £12/15,000 a week. It will be hard to replace him but it would not be fair to stand in his way. The sad thing is he will most likely end up at one of our biggest rivals.

RE: In's/Out's - hibeejim21 - 05-07-2018

I agree wattie, but from what I've heard he wants to go to celtic and will sign a free with them in January if we don't agree a deal.

petrie knows this too. We cant afford to let him walk for nothing, I guess we will find out on sunday if he plays how far off a deal we are.

RE: In's/Out's - hibeejim21 - 05-07-2018

According to garry parker there we are working on a couple of deals at the moment.

RE: In's/Out's - 1Wattie - 06-07-2018

Celtic sounds like they are doing their usual unsettling of players, they did it with Scott Allan and previously with Derek Riordanand now they seem to be unsettling John McGinn. Unfortunately we are powerless to stop them because they are working within the rules - and the rest of Scottish football is suffering.

Mallan agrees to join Hibs. Possibly one more en route too.

The other name being mooted is Darryl horgan a winger from preston north end. Trying also to get McLaren on a permanent deal.
