Argentina 2-0 up at half time...some revenge for the world cup defeat, it that it shows they can do it....I wonder if we'll see Germany coming out all guns blazing second half.

Yorkshire closing in on the title
Posted by: Lord Snooty - 03-09-2014, 20:26 - Forum: Cricket - Replies (70)

With only two games to go now, a magnificent win at Old Trafford in the Roses Match has put Yorkshire within touching distance of the title. One of those matches though, the next one, is a tricky trip to Trent Bridge to take on 2nd placed Notts.
And we will have to go there without skipper Andrew Gale, who has been given a 2 match ban following an altercation at the end of play yesterday with Ashwell Prince.  Sad

  Danny Welbeck

I reckon he could do very well at Arsenal, he was never a big scorer at Man Utd but certainly a powerful, pacy and talented striker who if he added goals to his workrate would have been a lot more popular at O/T

With the likes of Ozil, Wilshere etc to feed him i`m expecting a lot more, well at the very least better than Bendtner or Giroud

  Transfer Window
Posted by: turkeydinner - 03-09-2014, 18:51 - Forum: Stoke City - Replies (4)

For me Stoke had a superb Transfer Window on a very good season before, getting most transfer business done early and without spending huge amounts

They bought largely from known quantity picking up the experienced campaigners in Sidwell and Bardsley and picking up impressive loans in Moses and Assaidi which thankfully means to most Stoke fans not having John Walters as first choice.
Diouf looks a good signing up front as does getting the best out of Krkic, they still have Crouch to call on also

Strength in depth especially at the back is a worry if Bardsley/Pieters/Huth/Shawcross is first choice there isn't real quality behind those four as there is other areas of the pitch
And Surely the likes of Palicios and Shea need to be moved off the wage bill?
