Scotland v Cyprus

The first of a "double header" with a "nae chance" fixture v Belgium to follow this one. Anyway, it is imperative that we win this home fixture to at least impose an element of momentum and confidence after that horribly "ground out" victory v San Marino. IMO this game is not gonna be easy as we don't have that top-class prolific striker who can score at the appropriate time when the "going gets tough".

FT 2-1 and a welcome victory for Steve Clarke and Scotland in a tight match that saw Andy Robertson score an absolute "screamer" and Olly Burke ensuring victory after an equalising goal by a Cypriot side that Scotland invited on to them far too often for my liking. Still, a win is a win and it was essential to attain it but Belgium in Brussels is gonna be a more demanding match than any of the other group games!!
