Hearts defender Callum Paterson has been called into the Scotland squad for the games against the Republic of Ireland and England.

The right-back has been drafted in by boss Gordon Strachan to replace the injured Phil Bardsley.

Got to say I'm surprised at this. I like the laddie and he's a decent enough player but he's really raw and has a lot to learn. Not sure he's ready for the full squad yet, but if it bumps his price up a wee bit as a result then I won't be complaining too much

He's only there like MacLeod to get a wee taste of it,good recogntion though,he deserves it for the effort he's put in.
