That Davies' tackle?? Worth just a two game ban!?

Announced today by the SFA that the Ross County captain is suspended for only two matches - talk about 'losing all faith' in the ability of the SFA ref compliance officer to mete out proper justice and send out a strong message to any player who wants to play this kinda pre-meditated awful offence against any player, let alone Scott Broon. The punishment should have been a 5 or 6 match ban for a shocking challenge like that one. What a disgrace!

The word that has been banded about when we see a bad foul is "intent" but I don`t think any player tries to injure an opponent. The tackle was at best "mistimed" but that does not excuse how easily it could have been career threatening and so it should have been reflected in the punishment. A 5 game ban was the ideal tariff and might have sent out a clear message to the cloggers in our game.

Just saw the tackle there, an absolutely disgusting challenge. He should have got a 5 game ban.
