Maybe but, are they all up to speed yet?
Some days I'm top dog, most days I'm just the lamp post.

There`s only one way they`ll get up to speed and that's by playing them.

Id agree with that, but swap Blanco and Varela(Blanco played on the right or through the middle for Metalist and I don't care what CL says Varela is a LW) and maybe McAuley in for Olsson as Im not sure about two left-footed CB's.

For Metalist, Blanco played mainly in a central role but he did make plenty of appearances both on the right and on the left. He finished last season on the right and was mainly on the left for Lanus in Argentina.

I have also always classed Varela as a left winger but he spent the second half of last season playing as a right winger for Porto after the return of Quaresma.

I think it doesn't matter which side we start with them because hopefully Irvine will give them and Sessegnon the freedom to switch up their positions. That will make us a better attacking outfit and less predicable for the opposition.

Too early to give any opinion as yet as we haven't seen all of them play. Maybe post article again in November ?

Curious why no one has included Berahino in our best 11. Top scorer last year and currently best scorer this year and he is included above someone who has not scored at all as yet

Yup - agree, and that's a hugely big point; we've got probably 18 players who could easily start every game. With AI's known strength in analysing the opposition, our starting XI could change slightly from week to week according to who we're playing, and make us very difficult to plan against Thumb up

Think most Albion fans would like to see that 11,
maybe not away from home but certainly at home against the lesser teams.

Personally, Varela & Blanco are unknown quantities, (as is Ideye)...... hopefully we'll see them both/all in the next few weeks and they'll be putting a lot of pressure on Gardiner, Dozza, Mozza & Brunty - not that I'm against ANY of them Blush . would just like to see WHOEVER perform to the best of their ability Thumb up
