Celtic 3 Morton 0

And the Hoops progress fairly comfortably into another SC semi-final and two matches closer to a historic consecutive domestic 'treble' coupled with the imminent return of injured top players, Roberts, Griffiths & Boyata who will strengthen the team. Also Dembele noticeably 'banging in the goals' again although still not fully fit. Morton? They put in a spirited display and 0-0 at HT was well earned. However, they were finally undone by a good delivery from Rogic and Dembele 'did the rest', 1-0. Then 'hard done by' on a Beaton pen call which was for a foul committed a smidgeon outside the Morton pen box. Otherwise they posed a minimal threat to the Hoops.

'ton were very good, and played with great determination but as you say rarely caused the home side any bother.

They held on until that great header from dembele, he had to lean back and it was so high he had to do a lot to get it on target.

In the other tie kilmarnock drew with aberdeen and goes to a replay at rugby park.

Re that other cup tie at Pittodrie, I watched part of that game and the standard of footie was dire TBF! God help the rest of these teams if Celtic find their real form leading in to the 'business end' of the season. The lack of real quality is glaring and we'll see if this is indeed the case when the Hoops go to Ibronx next weekend and will likely 'raise their game' against a side that is 'apparently doing well' but they are in a very poor footie league with few teams who expose their defensive frailties! Hence they are classified as a 'yo-yo side' with justification.

I wouldnae like to call the replay with aberdeen and killie, whoever gets through has a live chance of making the final!
