I don't have BT so can't watch still like to see Scottish teams do well but we've no chance mind you not spending money will cost them Celtic needed a centre half and bought no one so they are not giving themselves the best chance it's no like there skint, tough one as they only make dough from champs league so need to be careful what they spend too.

Couple of points from last night
First PSG are a fantastic team, middle to front, full of movement and real pace, all with a fantastic first touch.
Perhaps the best team I have seen at parkhead since the all conquering barsa team of 3 or 4 years ago.

second
While I love Brendans philosophy in football, trying to play football against a team that good was a mistake. We should have shut up shop and try to kill the game.

and yes fred the no centre half did bite us deeply on the bum

celtic could have spent 30 -40 million and they still wouldn't get through that group. They are doing the right thing.

But aye, rodgers style is very open and positive in Europe. Too positive to be up against the elite clubs I'd say. I doubt he will change it though, but lennon and Strachan got results by being a bit more cautious.

That fan on the pitch could get you into serious bother edgie. UEFA tend to give slaps on the wrist about banners and flares, but someone on the park could see a heavier sanction.

The fan on the pitch was a complete fanny
looked like a young boy, and as he was being escorted off the police were protecting him from the other fans.

If I was the club I would ban him and take him through the civil courts to recover any costs.
They are unlikely to get it but make the point that we will do something.

I am honestly expecting us to get a stand closed if this continues

I think the performances in the previous Astana CL play off ties revealed a great deal re Celtic's slim chances in group B and that's been confirmed by last night's result. Celtic have attained a 'certain level' in Euro footie but don't have the financial clout to get beyond that level unless a Quatari business consortium, or similar, decided that the Hoops could be a new and productive footie project. That clearly aint gonna happen. I agree with edgie that Celtic/Rodgers could have set up better to ensure the game was far more challenging for PSG than it turned out to be but also agreed the Hoops would have lost anyway. Celtic will recover, just like they did after that previous humiliating thrashing at the Nou Camp not that long ago, and the pragmatic Brendan Rodgers will utilise the resources that he has at his disposal as well as improve the team further at the 'mid point' part of the season if attracted to certain players who may become available.

Would the Celtic fans have them shut up shop?? Personally I doubt that very much they want to see there team having a pop regardless of who's in front of them, not having a go at Celtic not spending but they do have facility to bring in one or two that could make a wee difference but reality is don't be chasing something you'll never get near lesson served up perfectly from there neighbors eh.

Apart from the centre half situation, and possibly the striker, given say 5m to spend on a player in todays market, were could we spend that and get a significant improvement?
So spending what we can afford what else can we do?
Yesterdays team if we had a fit centre half would have been
Gordon
Lustig, Jozo, A N other Teriny
Brown Ntcham
Armstrong
Roberts Sinclair
Griffith.
With Forrest, Rogic and Edouard
Were would you spend that 5 m to improve?

To be honest apart from a right back that 5m on 1 player or 2 5 m players isn't going to make a difference is it??

You could get better than Scott Brown for £5m IMO , I'm no really arguing mate just saying he could have strengthened a bit,Leicester won the premiership on significantly lower budget than the big boys so you never know if ye did invest lol
