Motherwell 0-2 Rangers

Rangers were a bit rusty, especially in the first half, but matters improved as the match went on.
Good goals from Tavernier and Waghorn and one howling miss from Barrie Mackay !

Attendance : 6,941 (BTS) 4,500 Rangers.

Match Report : Rangers FC - Motherwell 0 Rangers 2

Manager's verdict : Rangers FC - Boss Lauds Positive Play

Very ring rusty, although it was essentially just our 2nd pre-season match - we dominated large spells and deserved the win so mostly positive. The only thing going against us was that rotten defence which hasn't been tightened up at all. New personnel badly needed in the centre.

Good result today. A win is a win and will breed confidence. As El Car says, a couple of signings in defence and it could be a good season for you.

Our first competitive win since we beat Celtic last season so I think it was a badly needed result too.
