SPFL2 (Championship), Saturday 23/04/2016 : Rangers v Alloa Athletic, KO 12:30 hours, SKY.

The final home game of the Season and of the Journey, between two teams heading in opposite directions.
I just hope Rangers play to the full capability we have come to expect and do not let plucky little Alloa Athletic become party poopers (again !).

A drop to the bench for Miller and Ball, O' Halloran too. A chance for Nicky Clark to impress if he can, and let's see how Zelalem does in his first start for a while. He'll need to try to keep the tempo high, which goes against his natural need to hold onto the ball.

RANGERS: Foderingham; Tavernier, Kiernan, Wilson, Wallace; Halliday, Holt, Zelalem; McKay, Clark, King.

SUBS: Bell, Ball, Law, Shiels, Miller, O’Halloran, Burt.

HT : 1-1 It looked like the Alloa hoodoo was here again, taking the lead with a breakaway goal against the run of play. Rangers had umpteen attempts on goal, most on target and a missed penalty by Halliday (he put it wide), then at the end of the half Halliday's cross was met by Tavernier's head, for the equaliser.

Another wee half-time discussion to be had by the manager, I think.

And as ever, patience lads. Patience.

Good job we're so much better than the other teams in the league or a wee dip in form towards the end of the season could have been a worry.

Well, we might have guessed this would happen; tbh, I had at the back of my mind one of those 0-1 defeats 'crowning' this occasion. Anyway, it is well done to Alloa Athletic for doing their job today, for all the possession, corners and shots Rangers had.

A wee dip in form once the league is comfortably won is almost expected. There's a full month until the next important match. These last few games will have no bearing on it at all.
