A quick resume of the GBR team's progress throughout the past week shows that the Mixed Team of Ross Whyte, Amy Bryce (BIR, Kelso), Callum Kinnear and Mili Smith won 6 games out of 8 in the round robin section, thereby qualifying for the quarter-finals. Unfortunately, they were beaten by Russia, who were beaten in the Bronze Medal game.

During the second half of the week, a Mixed Doubles competition was held where 2 players from different countries were drawn together to compete against other bi-national teams. Ross Whyte of GBR and Han Yu of China won the Silver Medal in today's final, losing to Phillipp Hoesli of Switzerland and Yako Matsuzawa of Japan. The Bronze Medal was won by Andreas Haarstad of Norway and Ruuyi Zhao of China.

Callum Kinnear of GBR and Stefania Constantini of Italy were beaten in the quarter-finals by the Bronze Medallists, Mili Smith of GBR and Jun-Yeong Hong of Korea were beaten in the first round, as were Amy Bryce of GBR and Martin Blahovec of Czech Republic.

The Mixed Doubles is one of the new disciplines in the 2018 Winter Olympics to be held in PyeongChang, South Korea.

In other news, Team GB won another 4 medals at the Games in Lillehammer, Norway - Gold Medals from Madi Rowlands in the Ski Halfpipe and Ashleigh Pittaway in the Skeleton Bob, Bronze Medals from Madi Rowlands in the Ski Slopestyle and Kelsea Purchall in the Monobob.
