League Cup action this time with a home tie against a top team from the Premiership.

Rangers coming onto good form after a sticky start to the season, ICT's confidence taking a dunt after a heartless defeat away to Partick Thistle.

I suspect there'll be little change to the starting line-up, maybe Aird missing out in favour of Templeton as McCoist will go for experience over youth undoubtedly. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Daly taking Clark's place, as stupendously ill-advised as that sounds. Doh

I now see that Clark is a doubt after coming off on Friday. Ah well, Boyd up front on his own? Or paired with Daly? xxxx hell, that's depressing.  Sick

And I thought we might be in with a chance for this one.

No surprise that with the Champions League dominating the TV broadcasting deals, there's no live coverage of this game. Maybe be a blessing in disguise.

Best we can hope for is taking it to extra time and sneaking it then, IMO. Thumb up

Quote does not work, so, do it the old fashioned way.

I'll refrain from making predictions about the team, but we can definitely win this if we play 2 up front. Less optimistic if we go with 1. We're in pretty good form, our squad is no worse that theirs on paper and we have home advantage. A narrow win on the cards?

The match is available to buy on RTV, for exiles only, so there might just be an illegal stream available closer to kick off.

However that would be bad, and against the law. Some kittens will die, probably.

Will nobody think of the kittens?? CryCry

I would back Rangers against any SPL team atm, with the possible exception of Celtic.

In defence of a Daly, he was really good in the early part of last season. Later on he clearly needed a rest and a strike partner, but Ally insisted on playing him every game up front on his own. I think part of his apparent immobility was due to him realising he had little chance of doing anything as long as the rest of the team continued punting hopeful long balls up in his general direction with no one even waiting for a flick on.

Right now I'd fancy us to beat Celtic 9 times out of 10 - they're atrocious. I'd be more worried by the likes of Aberdeen and Dundee United (who seem to be a real jinx for us in cups these days).

Aye, I could leave my work at lunch-time, travel all afternoon on the train, just get into Glasgow as the game kicks off, miss the first 20 mins on the tube, and see the rest of the game. Easy.

Then I would have to stay overnight in Glasgow at a hotel, as the last north train leaves Inverness at 6pm.

Brilliant idea. Thumb up Thumb up
